^Watcher^ (OP) User ID: 1547719 United States 09/14/2011 12:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't know about you folks, but this looks like a complete SET-UP to me! Read these quotes from the article... Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has no doubt that he will be called upon for concessions extreme enough to lure the Palestinian leader back to the table. Blair is expected to deliver the document to Netanyahu some time Thursday after Abbas has seen it. And While Mahmoud Abbas appears to have been hassled into a partial climb-down from his original plan to bypass talks with Israel by gaining UN approval of Palestinian statehood, he may not have caved in completely. Neither is it clear whether Netanyahu will swallow the new blueprint Tony Blair is about to dish up. Seems they threatened to seek statehood bid only to back out in the 11th hour (planned from the start, I suspect) and push for concession of "peace" which PM Netanyahu will be told he HAS to accept because the Palestinians were "gracious enough" to back down. Like I said...SET-UP! "Bait and switch"! Last Edited by ^Watcher^ on 09/14/2011 01:00 PM |

There's nothing about this on any of the Israeli websites. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1264056 They said the announcement would be made officially on Friday, the 16th. Something seems VERY FISHY about this report...not necessarily the truthfulness of it but the question of "WHY"! It would be most interesting to see what "concessions" the Quartet and Tony Blair are going to shove down Netanyahu's throat! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1548127 Egypt 09/14/2011 01:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Diplomatic flurry ahead of Palestinian UN bid By AMY TEIBEL - Associated Press AMY TEIBEL Associated Press JERUSALEM -- A high-level U.S. team kicked off a new round of shuttle diplomacy on Wednesday in a last-ditch effort to contain the diplomatic fallout from the Palestinian statehood push, but the odds of a breakthrough appeared slim as the Palestinians pledged to go ahead with mass rallies to draw world attention to their bid. U.S. diplomats Dennis Ross and David Hale arrived late Wednesday for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders. They were to travel to the West Bank on Thursday to talk with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Washington is trying to persuade the Palestinians to drop their plan to ask the United Nations to recognize an independent Palestinian state, but so far without success. He also notified Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal and European Union foreign executive Catherine Ashton in Cairo that he was considering watering down his application to the UN General Assembly – possibly by dropping the "state within 1967 borders" provision from the text. Abbas said he would make his final decision known in a public address from Ramallah Friday, Sept 16 before flying to New York to join world leaders at the UN General Assembly's 66th session which began Tuesday. Any Dolores Cannon fans? I recall something about MABUS gathering the leaders of the world at the U.N. and bombing them with a nuke. If Mahmoud Abbas or M.ABBAS is delayed to NY I would clear out of NY. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1520678 United States 09/14/2011 01:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got a nice big fat concession Isreal can make to get everyone off their backs. Let those Bedoiuns keep title to their land in the Naqab desert. They are not bothering anyone, they just ride around on their camels and pick figs or something. Isreal has to show that it is willing to resepect the rights of Arabs in its borders if they want to keep the rest of the freaks out. I hope they do this instead of just giving away more land. That won't help anything. They can't let the Gaza aid flotillas go by uninspected either. Those are two concessions that cannot be made. No one can directly oppose Isreal and the Palestinians know that. They want to worm their way in so that it will be Isreal's own fault when they are overrrun by their enemies. Isreal should wise up and play fair and not relocate people to a "better" place who want to stay where they are. The world will fall apart eventually, but I say to fight it as long as possible. |

UNE_SAISON_EN_ENFER User ID: 1541951 Turkey 09/14/2011 02:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually the so called declaration of Palestinian State is not a desirable solution for many Palestinians for some reasons. And they know it's a set-up. First of all Palestine Liberation Organization will be an excluded actor after this declaration. And the state will encompass only the people who live in West Bank and Gaza. So many Palestinians who had to immigrate elsewhere all around the world and waiting for return will become unrepresented. So what OP posted is not a big surprise and worthy for further discussion. To know means to know all. Not to know all means not to know. In order to know all, it is only necessary to know a little. But, in order to know this little, it is first necessary to know pretty much. G.I. Gurdjieff |
