I don't know about you folks, but this looks like a complete SET-UP to me! Read these quotes from the article...

Seems they threatened to seek statehood bid only to back out in the 11th hour (planned from the start, I suspect) and push for concession of "peace" which PM Netanyahu will be told he HAS to accept because the Palestinians were "gracious enough" to back down. Like I said...SET-UP! "Bait and switch"!

They said the announcement would be made officially on Friday, the 16th. Something seems VERY FISHY about this report...not necessarily the truthfulness of it but the question of "WHY"! It would be most interesting to see what "concessions" the Quartet and Tony Blair are going to shove down Netanyahu's throat!

There are ALOT of things NOT on the MSM. You really want to fly the "BS flag" for their failure to report any thing of REAL significance?

Guess we will know on Friday for sure. Wouldn't surprise me if they are trying to use this to box Israel into a corner with no where to go but where they tell them.

I imagine there's lots of talk going on behind closed doors and we will never hear or know - except for the actual outcome. Debka is known to exaggerate many things and distort truths or simply make up their own story. However, there's always a grain of truth to be found too - my guess is that there's now several leaders scrambling to avert disaster without really taking sides. This is a real pickle for the US and Israel, as well as for neighboring Arab countries and the UN. All we can do is sit back and wait what they will decide, it's going to be up to people that are not in the spotlight if you know what I mean.

I have been thinking... and my conclusion Thread: The Palestinian UN declaration attempt of independence on September 20th 2011, is a decoy!!!

I got a nice big fat concession Isreal can make to get everyone off their backs. Let those Bedoiuns keep title to their land in the Naqab desert. They are not bothering anyone, they just ride around on their camels and pick figs or something. Isreal has to show that it is willing to resepect the rights of Arabs in its borders if they want to keep the rest of the freaks out.

I hope they do this instead of just giving away more land. That won't help anything. They can't let the Gaza aid flotillas go by uninspected either. Those are two concessions that cannot be made.

No one can directly oppose Isreal and the Palestinians know that. They want to worm their way in so that it will be Isreal's own fault when they are overrrun by their enemies. Isreal should wise up and play fair and not relocate people to a "better" place who want to stay where they are.

The world will fall apart eventually, but I say to fight it as long as possible.

Actually the so called declaration of Palestinian State is not a desirable solution for many Palestinians for some reasons. And they know it's a set-up.

First of all Palestine Liberation Organization will be an excluded actor after this declaration. And the state will encompass only the people who live in West Bank and Gaza. So many Palestinians who had to immigrate elsewhere all around the world and waiting for return will become unrepresented.

So what OP posted is not a big surprise and worthy for further discussion.
