Why was it believed Art Bell killed his wife?

I don't think anybody believes that he actually killed her, but it seems clear that she died largely due to his negligence. She was having a severe asthma attack before Art went to bed, and he knew it. Their motorhome was parked in a casino parking lot, and he could have taken her inside the casino and summoned a doctor. Instead, he went to sleep for 14 hours and she was dead when he woke up. Totally unable to accept any responsibility for Ramona's death, Art tried to gratuitously blame a couple of ham radio operators who were 500 or more miles away when she died.

This is the truth.He just had to wait until she died.

because some people were low enough to conclude that because she was an asmatic that she was too much effort to look after, and because art went for a much younger philipino wife i guess people also thought that.
