NINzrez in the Hospital

The actual sequence of events was that GLP'ers wanted to know where they could donate to help her with hospital expenses. I think it was a little overwhelming for her daughter Erika (given all that was going on), and she was scrambling for awhile to get a PayPal donation center set up. I don't think that NIN is "depending on the kindness of strangers", but if she had to I can't think of a better bunch of "strangers" than the GLP community!

they were making a TERRARIUM for the little boy with this fishtank- for frogs- that is why it was temporarily on the floor. OMG

when I call her about this in the morning, she will laugh. She already wants a t shirt saying FISH TANK DOOM lol. Hahaha, love this!

The most important thing right now is, these kids still have a mother. Get well soon NINZ.

amen, I second that. Everytime I think about the little 3 yr old describing how 'mama kept going to sleep on the outside stairs' when Nin dragged herself down those steep things, I shudder. Had the baby not been there or the downstairs neighbor, this might have been an entirely different type of thread.

When I first saw this part of the story it just wrenched my heart. That poor baby girl having to witness this horror!

But now I have a question. Since this story was told, Erikah, who says she is the daughter of NiNzrez, came to tell the story and said it was her little daughter that was with NiNzrez during the accident. So why would the little girl call her grandmother mama?

I'm sure there will be some explanation. And probably a "fuck you, burn in hell, you turn my stomach, have you no decency" for good guilt measure to go along with it. But there are so many strange little inconsistencies.

There are hundreds of people in my community whom need help right now. If I am to part with some money for this lady, I want to know I am being told the truth about the situation.

They spell it some sort of meemaw type way. My kids called my mother 'mama' and called me 'mom/mommy', so it isn't weird at all. If you can call your grandpa 'papa', why is that strange?

AND... NO ONE is *asking* you to part with your money. Those of us who WANT to are giving to help the family. I don't think she actually *needs* to jump through hoops for this type of stuff. She *will* eventually be reading this and it's potentially upsetting to see all the crap on her that can have an adverse effect on her healing. She did not ask for donations nor did she ASK to get hurt. The facts have been relayed as faithfully as possible. She is a human being, we all have different family dynamics/ethnicities/traditions. Yikes.

Please dont get me wrong, I am a good person with 4 lovely boys so I speak as a realist here. One of my god given talents is being able to sniff out a scam and I am sorry, there are some things I see that are seriously not right.

Why is the little girl smiling when mommy has just been badly hurt ?

No sign of Iodine staining from operation prep/bruising/or many other visible cuts/laserations. Fall's onto fishtanks/glass tables etc almost ALWAYS leave a few more scars, most people I have seen make a right mess of their hands getting up/trying to remove glass fragments.

Im sure you will get more donations by proving me an ass so do it. Scanned copies of hospital admission forms and your med chart/notes etc so they can be verified with who signed them. I have always liked what you have written, like many others here you are a very clever person.

I am very sorry for the accident and have really appreciated the solar watch thread.

My two cents is that it is never a good idea to start accepting donations until a good financial plan is in place. For example, if a person is uninsured, these donations may be considered as part of a persons assets and just get sucked up in medical bills. If the paypal account is part of an old business, there may be liens against the business. Many of us want to help, but I bet there is someone with the right professional background that could advise her family on how to set this up in a way that we are sure the donations are are going to be effective (and that long term needs are met). That last part is a key point... there will be many many long term needs beyond these early donations.

I encourage everyone to keep donating to the paypal account if it is in their comfort zone, I am just thinking there is a whole other segment of us that would donate if it were set up as a trust fund sort of thing or at least set up a little differently.

Im not a jerk my friend, jerks dont spend all day putting people they dont know back together, working shocking hours, no breaks for 18hrs and not seeing your family as much as you would like.

Patients that have this injury cannot UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES lye directly on the wound. The outward force on the wound is too much, it would just keep splitting open. There should also be a surgical drain coming from the wound. This is not there either. There are also other things missing from those pics.

PER GUNROSHIN--- HE SAID THIS- SHE DID NOT. She is upset that she is being misrepresented. OMG. Gunroshin, I am on the phone with her right now and she says (quote)

Please tell Steph to ignore those posts. I know she doesn't even know me, but I've followed her for quite some time. She has no idea how many people are out there like me who have benefited from her work and appreciated her kind nature. I donated a small amount and would like to again on payday. I was grateful somebody took the time to set up a method of donations. For those who think she's trolling for dollars - they simply haven't been following her and don't know her true nature. GLP attracts thousands of new people all the time and because this was pinned everyone saw it including those that don't know her. My prayers are with her and the girls and I know thousands of others out there feel the same!
