Its a 7 hour drive. :-( If you wait until TSHTF, you will never make it there, so don't even bother trying. It would be better to make as many preperations that you can at home now. The only way to make it there safely is to get there BEFORE TSHTF. This is the problem with alot of people's plans. They buy a place in the mountains, stock it up, then go back to the city and wait for the event, and that will be too late!
