[link to www.stnicholascenter.org] A German man Clement Clarke Moore some believe wrote a poem about this bishop flying around with 8 tiny reindeer delivering his benevolent gifts to the poor and needy. Some say a family named Livingston wrote the poem it was in fun but it became famous it was written near the USA civil war time. 90% of American people did not believe in Christmas at this time, considering it from Pagan Origin which it is and also from Catholism promoting paganism. Btw Christ Mass is latin and means to CELEBRATE the DEATH of CHRIST. NOT his birth. Anyway, in about 1955 Coca-Cola Company wanting a new perk to promote their product created the Jolly fat, bewhiskered man wearing a red suit and that is where the current modern day Santa Claus originated. Promoted further by Montgomery Wards ads and wanting to sell things and draw customers to their store Robert L. May created Rudolph in 1939 as an assignment for Montgomery Ward. The retailer had been buying and giving away coloring books for Christmas every year and it was decided that creating their own book would save money so Rudolph was added as the 9th reindeer to Coca Cola Santa's and Moore's poem about fabled flying reindeer. It is a huge fairytale created some from a real person who was Catholic and from fantasy and commercialism. It is in fact a big fat LIE and has NOTHING whatever to do with Christ or his Birth which BTW is not nor ever has been DECEMBER 25th. Here is proof [link to www.balaams-ass.com] 1Ti 4:1 - Now (1) the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the (a) faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Ti 4:4 - And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto (a) fables. So celebrating as Christ's birthday is another lie again perpetuated by Rome and The Catholic Church it was a way to persuade newly converted Christians to return to pagan roots and worship of the deities of the day The worship of the "Sun" God, not the Son of God. Of which there are many names, Rah, Baal, Apollos, Mitras to name a few. There was a lot evil things done and it was celebrating the Saturnalia and winter soltice, Yule fires and logs were for the burning of children and or slaves as human sacrifice for Molok, Rah, Baal and or Mithras so they would bring light back to a world gone dark. Mar 7:7 - (3) Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men. Then we have the oh so revered "Tree" Oh Tannunbaum or oh Christmas Tree, Jeremiah 10 amply describes this pagan custom and idol worship and erection of a tree long before the birth of Christ and begun with Semaramis the Mother/Wife of her Husband/Son Nimrod of Bible fame the great great grandson of Noah. He was evil his mother's husband his father died,Semaramis married her son Nimrod, he died she planted an evergreen tree and told the people under her rule ( She was known as the queen of heaven, Isis, Ishtar as well) That the tree was Nimrod reincarnated and so begun the worship of evergreen trees, taken, decorated and touted as beautiful and people bowed down to them. AGAIN nothing to do with Christ or God, All these things GOD hates and said NOT to do them but people do anyway out of "Tradition of men" Out of rebellion or ignorance or selfishness and not at all honoring the God they claim to worship, love and obey. Tell your child the truth or tell him a lie, liars have not part in the Kingdom of God. Period. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 There is a way that seems right to a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death. (Pro. 14:12) The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. (Jer. 17:9) JAC |

In 1087, the Italian city of Bari, mounted an expedition to locate the tomb of the Christian Saint and procure his remains. The reliquary of St. Nicholas was conquered by Italian sailors and the spoils, including his relics, taken to Bari[8][9] where they are kept to this day. A basilica was constructed the same year to store the loot and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout. Sailors from Bari collected just half of Nicholas' skeleton, leaving all the minor fragments in the grave. These were collected by Venetian sailors during the first crusade and brought to Venice, where a church to St. Nicholas, the patron of sailors, was built on the San Nicolò al Lido. This tradition was confirmed in two important scientific investigations of the relics in Bari and Venice, which revealed that the relics in the two Italian cities belong to the same skeleton. Saint Nicholas was later claimed as a patron saint of many diverse groups, from archers, sailors, and children to pawnbrokers.[7][10] He is also the patron saint of both Amsterdam and Moscow.[11] In his honor were in the Middle Ages children on his name-day, the 6th December, bestowed and often the night before. This date was earlier the original day of gifts for the children, which moved in the course of the Reformation and its opposition to the veneration of saints in many countries on the 24th and 25th December. So Saint Nicholas changed to Santa Claus. The custom of gifting of children at Christmas has been propagated since 1535 by Martin Luther as an alternative to the previous very popular gift custom on St. Nicholas, to focus the interest of the children to Christ instead of the veneration of saints. Originally promoted Martin Luther the Christkind as the bringer of gifts. But Nicholas remained popular as gifts bearer for the people. A large contribution to the dissemination of Santa Claus had the writer August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben, which wrote the song "Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann" in 1835. The German born in USA very popular caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast made with many paintings the modern image of Santa Claus popular in USA. 1923 was drawn Santa Claus according to this templates as part of a promotional campaign by the New York beverage company White Rock Beverages for its popular Dry Ginger Ale. Since the year 1931 used Coca-Cola today's image of Santa Claus in his commercials and made Santa Claus popular worldwide.[12][13][14](for source see German wikipedia article) |
