Sold my car, no longer needed, 300/mo payment gone, 150/mo insurance gone. 250/mo for gas no long needed. I do have to pay 55/mo for an unlimited pass as well.

Wedding Ring Payment= Payed off easily 2 months after saving 700/mo on car

Had neighbor get an extra box for me and run a coax to my home for cable and I bum his wireless for 15/mo down from 120/mo.

Switched to Vonage from att for home phone. 12.95/mo instead of 45/mo. We don't use it often.

Paid off all of my credit cards and shut them all down except for one.

I have 2 savings accounts aside from my 401k. One that I keep 3,000 in and use like a credit card buying stuff with it and paying it back. The other is my rainy day fund that should last me for 12 months if I lose my job. I am only up to 3 months worth of cash on it though. Getting there.

Getting rid of Att for cell phone service as soon as my contract is up and switching to boost unlimited plan for 35/mo. That should save me over 100/mo there.

Things are looking good now.

I quit my job so I've tried to cut back on everything. Cable, phone, I don't go out at all anymore, instead of buying snacks for the kids I make large batches of this and that for them to eat.

3 Installed free wood burning stove to heat house no more heat bills.
4 Planted huge garden I grow almost everything I need I Can, freeze, and dehydrate what I grow
5 got 4 laying hens free eggs everyday good for barter I trade eggs for pipe tobacco
6 I bake My own bread no preservatives
7 I buy things on sale and in bulk
8 Buy things I need at garage sales and thrift stores even gifts
9 dry my clothes on a clothes line its free
10 water plants and garden with water collected in rain -barrels

This is the absolute prime reason our country is going down the shitter. Banksters have convinced everyone that life is free all you have to do is be born. Mean while they send your SS# to UN and make you a debt slave for life.

every penny gets spent. i try and try, we can only save up like a grand or two before some need pops up. property tax on cars, medical bills, new tires, new shoes for kids, it never ends.

got rid of home phone, gym membership, we hardly ever go out to eat, started buying used clothes off ebay, sell un-necessary crap on ebay.


I do the shopping and can tell you, groceries and gas prices combined with never ending medical deductibles are killing us.

I basically have 5K a year out of pocket in health insurance deductibles.

obama has fucked working people with high energy prices. this is a direct result of restrictive enviro bullshit we cannot drill or refine oil here in us. that translates into high inflation because food has skyrocketed, transportation costs.

No changes here :) and why you ask? because the materialistic, commercial, wasteful life, turned me off at a young age. i live simply and happily... which means so far the financial issues everyone else is feeling has no affect on me. it is hard to listen to my family/friends talk about all they are cutting from their lives, and how stressed they are. I just remind them that nothing they are "giving up" was worth a damn to begin with.
