before recent reports Elenin was thought to be hundreds of times the size of earth. In fact, many still believe its huge and that recent reports were only to calm fears. But...that doesnt matter anyway. Any simpleton knows that while standing on earth you can hold your thumb up and block out the entire sun. Elenin wouldnt have to be huge to accomplish the same concept. All it has to do is pass in front of the sun at the correct distance from the earth and it could easily block out the sun from our view. The moon has done it multiple times. The question would remian however...how could it stay in the correct position for 3 days.

So it would have to be either bigger than the moon, or smaller but closer to the earth to block out the sun.

But I am more interested in this from the Bible. It seems everyone is into gold and silver these days. But I have not bought any. I heard that there have been found hordes of gold from people who bunkered down during disaster in the past. We can find gold in caves or in places where people have tried the same thing in the past. It never works, I guess, to bunker down with gold or silver.

Even if the nucleus of the comet isn't big enough to cover the sun, the tail likely could! If the tail covers the sun, it wouldn't likely be totally dark for 72hours, but dimmed to some degree. Maybe the tail of Elenin will be blocking the sun for three days and not the nucleus itself. Food for though.

Here is an interesting article I came across talking about more about Elenin. Sounds like the comet will pass in front of us in our orbit shortly after Oct. 16th. At that time will "likely" experience its tail debris!
