before recent reports Elenin was thought to be hundreds of times the size of earth. In fact, many still believe its huge and that recent reports were only to calm fears. But...that doesnt matter anyway. Any simpleton knows that while standing on earth you can hold your thumb up and block out the entire sun. Elenin wouldnt have to be huge to accomplish the same concept. All it has to do is pass in front of the sun at the correct distance from the earth and it could easily block out the sun from our view. The moon has done it multiple times. The question would remian however...how could it stay in the correct position for 3 days.
