Not to mention the debris injuries. Had the P-51 hit the grandstands directly no doubt we'd be talking hundreds dead instantly. |

This doesn't make it sound any better but, I'm sure this man died doing what he loved. I saw this same plane 'The Galloping Ghost' at an airshow in Waxahatchie Tx years ago... it was the only Mustang at the event that day & a beautiful piece. Wow. SIGH I was amazed at some of the low altitude maneuvers these guys pulled off so close to the spectators... there was a MiG 17 that would (from a through-the-clouds dive) level-off at literally feet above the runway... we were less than 200ft from his flight-path when he'd pull that one. Incredible to see, but way too dangerous (imo) to be performing in such vintage tin so close to a crowd... I am a Christian.
