What are the Y values representing and what are the X values representing.

I am assuming the x-values represent a time stamp.

And the Y would indicated the level of what ever was being measured at the specific time (x-axis)

That's just my opinion.

i am not knowledgeable in the science of radiation but this is very important. The media has downplayed this event and our health along with millions of other are at stake.

i have seen reports of many people in Tokyo getting radiation poisoning. This is 100x worse that Chernobyl and the media is silent.

We must get the fact together to bring this more in the spotlight. I have been and wil continue to pray for you guys and the people of Japan.

Japan Finds Radiation Spread Over a Wide Area .

TOKYO—The first comprehensive survey of soil contamination from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant showed that 33 locations spread over a wide area have been contaminated with long-lasting radioactive cesium, the government said Tuesday.

The survey of 2,200 locations within a 100-kilometer (62-mile) radius of the crippled plant found that those locations had cesium-137 in excess of 1.48 million becquerels per square meter, the level set by the Soviet Union for forced resettlement after the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, Japanese authorities said.

Another 132 locations had a combined amount of cesium-137/134 of more than 555,000 becquerels per square meter, the level at which the Soviet authorities called for voluntary evacuation and imposed a ban on farming.

Japanese authorities said all of the highest levels are within the current evacuation zone, which is about 20 kilometers around the plant, plus some specific towns to the northwest that already have been found to have high levels of contamination.

Fukushima day care center hot spots

Two day care centers and a high school building in Fukushima Prefecture remain contaminated with high levels of radioactive matter even after they underwent cleanup work, Greenpeace Japan said.

On the ground of the yard at one day care center, the radiation was as high as 0.9 microsieverts per hour, or nearly 8 millisieverts per year, while the reading below its roof reached 7.1 microsieverts, according to the environmental group's findings earlier this month, Greenpeace said Monday.

A maximum reading at the high school was 7.9 microsieverts per hour and the other day care center registered 0.2 microsieverts per hour.

Fukushima Crisis: Caldicott Says Evacuate North-West Japan

The problem is that the reliability of claims from TEPCO, NISA and the Japanese Government are – as we have reported before – highly questionable. All three bodies have a major credibility crisis, with clear evidence that they colluded to cover up evidence that they knew the nuclear reactors melted down within hours of the March 11 tsunami. The reason for this seems to be that Japan is highly dependent on nuclear energy for its power needs, such that NISA has become more or less a branch of TEPCO – with staff perenially shuffling between the two bodies – and with a Japanese Government that is primarily concerned with talking down the extent of the crisis to avoid widespread panic amongst the Japanese population and allay rumblings about the viability of nuclear power.

The Japanese government's nuclear accident task force tested 1,149 children 15 and younger just a few weeks after the events of March 11. 1,080 of these tests were confirmed to be valid, and 482 of them, representing 44.6 percent of children, confirmed the presence of damaging radioactive iodine in their thyroid glands.

Fukushima exceeds Chernobyl in radiation level

BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhuanet) --A map drawn up by the Japanese Government shows, that soil at 34 spots in six Prefecture municipalities around the Fukushima power plant, are contaminated with radioactive cesium. These levels are higher than the Chernobyl disaster standard used for forcible evacuations.

A soil contamination map released by Japan's Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Ministry, shows six municipalities have more than 1.48 million becquerels of cesium 137, per square meter. Most highly contaminated spots are mainly 40 kilometers northeast of the nuclear plant.

In Japan, recovery is clouded by skepticism

Along the sawtooth Sanriku coastline of Japan’s main Honshu island, however, a quick recovery seems impossible. Fish processing facilities on which the seafood industry relies have not been rebuilt. Towering mounds of debris cleared from wrecked communities are rising on the outskirts of many towns. It may take years to dispose of the more than 22 million tons of rubble, Japanese authorities say.

A half-mile from Onagawa’s flattened town center, a group of boat repairmen, working in a tent since the tsunami took their workshop, have doubts about the mayor’s hopes for recovery.

“The Japanese government is no good, and our mayor isn’t even from here,” complains Motomu Endo, 68, a welder. “Officials say it will take eight years to elevate the damaged area and rebuild, but what will we do until then? Soon there’ll only be old men and women left in this town.”

X-ray technician overdosed children with radioactive agent

According to guidelines set by the society, doctors should decide the amount of the test agent to be administered. However, a male medical radiographer at Kofu Municipal Hospital had been determining the amount without consulting with other staff, hospital officials explained.

The radiographer reportedly told the hospital he knowingly gave higher doses of the test agent to the children so clear images could be taken as quickly as possible.

Prof. Norinari Honda, department of radiology and radiology service at Saitama Medical Center, Saitama Medical University, said: "While it is sometimes necessary for doctors to conduct these types of examinations, it is a basic principle that patients are subjected to the minimum amount of radiation possible."

Radiation readings in evacuation zones released

The government has released the results of detailed radiation measurements in evacuation zones around the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

The government measured radiation levels at 2,696 locations inside the 20-kilometer no-entry zone and adjacent evacuation zones in July and August. The measurements, mainly at schools and parks, are being displayed on maps on a government website.

Radiation was the highest at a location in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, about one kilometer from the plant. The level there was 139 microsieverts per hour, which translates into more than 700 millisieverts per year.

Radioactive Waste Is Piling Up in Japanese Sewage Treatment Plants, Some Sold as Fertilizer

Without any training with radioactive materials and unable to sell the sewage, they have put it under waterproof tarps, in a line of bundles that stretches a kilometer.

But the problem of disposing of radioactive waste isn't uniquely Japanese: more than 138 million pounds are stockpiled throughout the United States. Let's just hope it stays out of our food.

Kan: I couldn't let TEPCO withdraw from Fukushima disaster.

Q: There were reports back then that you told an aide, "All of eastern Japan may be destroyed."

A: I did not make such a remark, but I did have all of the possibilities modeled. If the evacuation zone had expanded to 100, 200 or 300 kilometers, it would have included the whole Kanto region. That would have forced 30 million people to evacuate, compromising the very existence of the Japanese nation.

That's the biggest reason why I changed my views on nuclear power. If there are risks of accidents that could make half the land mass of our country uninhabitable, we cannot afford to take such risks, even if we are only going to be playing with those risks once a century.

Sodium Iodine Probe, x-axis= Voltage (amount of energy captured within the probe, gamma and other radiation)
Y-axis= Time of pulse.

To me, it looks as if high levels of radiation come in waves.

Kurion and friends were installed to clean cooling water and it works, better than expected. They have been unplugged from the net and far from the Stux but what of the cores, you ask?

Four had no core, Three melted down before the earthquake, Two and One are slowly following along, if meltdown hasn't happened already.

Ionized gas built up in the ionosphere, from pre-meltdown, and threatened to explode.
The HAARP weapon was used to cause the particles to fall.
These super charged particles vibrate crystals in the rock bed; earthquake then full meltdown.
Neutrons bore small holes through the ground, to the frozen methane beds below and like a blue flash laser gun, a giant blue flash and powerful gun like explosions rips through 16 feet of reinforced concrete.
Huge amounts of methane is in the atmosphere, still, causing other meltdowns, shutdowns and near misses.

And the babies, my hearts, my loves. I send invisible hands your way so to hold you upright and strong. I call upon my Spirits to help and the great Angels, I feel your eyes. Please help the Grandpas and Grandmas, mommies and daddies. And my animals...my Beloved Earth.

Data 1 sample :

Total activity of sample is 35000 CPM (3 min. ?)
Dose is 1.27 µSv/h (distance?)

Histogram bell is 'Z-shape' looking, something weird?

Data 2 sample :

10980 Bq/kg of Cs-134 radionuclide
10800 Bq/kg of Cs-137 radionuclide

Ratio 134/137 is a fair 1:1 so sample is from recent event (probably Fukushima event)

Total activity of sample is 24600 CPM (3 min. ?)
Dose is 1.08 µSv/h (distance?)

Histogram looks fair

Would like to know Standard Deviation from both samples and also more about histogram X-scale?

As what a janitor?
There are many of us who educated themselves on radiation here.

That plant is currently leakin 1 teraBQ/day. That's 1,000,000,000,000 decays per day!

FYI The worldwide average background dose for a human being is about 2.4 millisievert (mSv) per year.

so take 1.08 uSv/h * 24hrs * 365days = 9460.8 uSv/year

and move the decimal over 2

94.6 mSv/year

40x normal radiation. You Fuckin Janitor.

So, you are saying radiation is like sunbathing.

•Between 40 and 50 percent of Americans who live to age 65 will have either skin cancer at least once.

•About 90 percent of nonmelanoma skin cancers are associated with exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

•Treatment of nonmelanoma skin cancers increased by nearly 77 percent between 1992 and 2006.

•Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million skin cancers in over two million people are diagnosed annually.

•Each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon.
