I wonder what kind of release do you agree to when you buy a ticket to an air show?

Well NASCAR has a lot more money than the Reno Air Races, it probably pays victims of accidents on its own dime to prevent claims on insurance getting out of hand in relation to premiums.

Accidents have been the downfall of quite a few smaller tracks throughout history.

Any air show I've ever been to, you just buy the ticket and that's it. I don't remember any signs that said "death and dismemberment at own risk".

These events carry insurance.

It's pretty much a requirement of the jurisdictions they are held within.

Oh, I should add that at car races at small tracks if you enter the pits you usually sign a waiver and have to be of legal age.
