Just a recommendation to both Chip and Jesuslover since I have been on both sides, and when I say "both sides", I mean believer and non-believer - not the side of god or the side of satan. I do not believe in either. You will not have much success in converting an atheist with the attitude that infers that the non-believer is stubborn or has a hard heart. Likewise Chip, your attitude that I need to man up and not be a crybaby just because I don't believe in your god is laughable, especially coming from you with your dismal track record here.

To jesuslover - I never once said to you that my prayers were not answered or my cries were not heard when I was a believer. Likewise I never said that while I ministered that I did not believe. When I said that my believing in Jesus was like believing in Santa, I meant that eventually I became wise enough to know the legendary task of Santa was impossible. It took longer with Jesus since so many adults in my life were not discouraging that belief on the same grounds. The reference to Hebrews chapter 6 indicates that followers of the faith have been dropping out since its beginning for one reason or another. It's nothing new.

To Chip - you do not understand the non-believer. "i believe clown has a home and he's holding out on GOD from some anger stand point, saying GOD you do this, i'll come back." A non-believer does not believe in any gods so no thoughts like that are taking place. And as for you bringing me the truth - good luck on that when you finally figure out what truth is.

Chip calls me clown and everyone can too for clarity since I post a lot under various (blank) the Clown names in honor of an old post by Wil.

I am saddened by what you say. I wish people could get the full experience of having Jesus and His angels around compared to being around demons. However, I know what you mean by some Christians falling away from Him.

I was raised in a Church and I always wondered about people talking in tongues and such. As a child I would like to go to Church because of all the hook ups that happened with us as kids. The other thing was that it was funny to see and hear people talking about each other. Even the reverend/Paster had an affair that I know of. So I see where you are coming from there.

I took the scientific approach and tried to find evidence of things that happened in the Bible with relics found. Some things jived. So for the most part I had my fill of wine, women and sond through the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

I was given proff of demons by my play with the Ouija board in the 80s. I only believe what I see and I have seen 2 types of demonic figures while waking in the wee hours of the night. Their ppresense alarmed me. Only by saying the Lord's prayer did they dissaolve to nothingness. But even with what I had seen and experienced with the Ouija I was not convinced enough to fully commit to the Lord.

Why? The trappings of this world are so hard to get away from. I sinned by having sex with people who I knew was married and committed other sins that are so easy to do. Why? It is so easy to do since the devil set this playground with all the things that we want.

To be part of Him you have to set yourself to a higher standard and that is why so many Christians fall. I would be still sinning if God didn't didn't reach me through the one weakness that I had, my son.

A voice sad to me that fateful night that I will have a son and that I need to protect Him. Mind you I thought yeah, now I am hearing voices in my head, how strange?!!

But then I thought about all the ways he lead me to where I was and protected me in the process. I was sleeping in a car with a loaded gun and a knife concealed under the mat on a street near a beach in MD. Backup was called and there where about 6 cops there. They didn't search the car or I would have been in prison.

I was in the military at the time. I had a gun pointed at me from 15 ft away with the person wanting to kill me and I had a split second to make the distance and disarm him. I did. My brother was there at the time and he said that he hasn't seen noone move as fast as I did. It was all in slomo for me.

I could go on and on and I knew that angels were behind every thing that saved me from getting hurt in order to get me to this day, this moment in time.

I gave my life to Him from that time of awakening on... I wish more people could have the same experiences that I have because if you seen the people grabbing for me to get out of the pit you would think twice about your faith. These ghostly shapes unnerved me at the time, but I knew that God wanted me to see that for a reason. The shadows of people screaming to get up and out from their torment.

Well that is where faith comes in. Would you truly believe if something was presented to you as a form of a miracle? Someone said here on GLP that the only miracles performed were just in the Bible and none are performed now.

There are plenty of miracles happening every day if people just open their eyes and get off facebook.

Well those are my thoughts btw. You can take them or leave them. Just know that it is 100% truth about all I said here. I don't want to lose my soul over a lie to get you to believe.

no guys feel free to say whatever, i'm no control freak on any level. this is our thread. have a good time.

i feel clown has made his choice, i give him the same free will GOD gave me. i will not be pulling anyone along. only those who willfully want to be there.

i don't think he has missed anything as to the gospel, i believe something upset him greatly and he is mad at GOD. if he took his true anger to GOD and laid it on the table. GOD would help, help being the key word. he must trust GOD and his wisdom. this is a must. he is willing to work with his children to reason with them.
