You only have to look at what happened with some poor souls when people like Harold Camping and Nancy Lieder talked about the end of the world.

Some were so disturbed they were selling all their possessions, giving all their money to Camping and in the case of Lieder, some people even put their pets to sleep as she endorsed!

Giving out all these dates is scaremongering, some people can just brush it all off and it is like water off a duck's back to them, however, there are some who genuinely believe much of the bullshit that self-professed "prophets" spout, inparticular when they give definite dates.

It doesn't mean they deserve to get "stung", it just means they take too much notice of people outside instead of listening to their own inner voice that will be trying to be heard, but the person is not listening
