| Satya (OP) User ID: 1556301 09/19/2011 06:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for that. Haven't had any lightning or thunder here yet & the wind has died down suddenly. I'm hoping the storm has missed me & it's not the quiet before the storm. I got hit by the tropical storm that happened early in the year & my house almost flooded (my street and backyard did, but I managed to keep it out of the house) & my garden has only just recovered so weird weather makes me a little nervous to say the least. |

Bit of a weird night all round really. Quoting: Satya RUN Any people that would give up liberty for a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety. ~Benjamin Franklin |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1552404 I've lived in Melbourne about 20 years & 25 years prior to that in country Vic & I don't ever remember warm nights like this in September (doesn't mean it hasn't happened but I sure don't remember it). In summer when it's been over 35 yes, but not in Spring. Spring nights regardless of how warm it gets in the day are traditionally a little on the cool side as it tends to cool down as the sun sets this time of year. |
| mysterynomore User ID: 1556408 09/19/2011 07:33 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Weird...No..We will get the weather being of the scale, on ocassions. It's got to do with all the interference in our atmosphere from all the electromagnetic waves. They have distorted our fields. All his bullshit about elenin and nibiru...Is just that.. People don't understand, that our earth is surrounded by a delicate field of energy that permeates through it's system. Our modern world has been distorted by wave signals that are out of sync with the earth's biofield. That's why you will see the weather being disrupted... you will see things that have not happened before..and you will see large storms and unusually of the scale weather...It's been distorted.. |

| Satya (OP) User ID: 1556301 09/19/2011 08:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's nice and cool here now, just had a small thunderstorm which brought the temp down quite a bit. Just noticed they've revised the top temp for tomorrow to 15. So 28 one day 15 the next..... 15 is coincidentally what the temp has just dropped to. I was a child of the 60's & the weather was so much more predictable back then. Summer was hot, winter was cold, the other two seasons were gradual changes in temp, ever increasing or decreasing towards the next season. It's just not like that anymore. We get a few warm days then the next few will be 10 to 15 degrees less. We get sudden winds that flatten our plants for a few minutes then disappear altogether. We get horrible humidity in summer, often at night. We get weird rain storms that dump masses of water on us in minutes. I've had my street flood twice in the last two years, once from sudden unforecast heavy rain that hit for 5 minutes. The other from 170mls of rain that got dumped in 20 minutes. It just wasn't like that when I was a kid. |

Bloody freezing out there now, though. Another long roll of thunder has just gone accross the sky. Has anyone else noticed this elephant in the lounge room ? Another block of writing from Elephant full of supposition and condescension whilst saying pretty much nothing. - EggNigma 2/2/2011 |

| Satya (OP) User ID: 1557827 09/20/2011 08:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm quite close to Dandy actually. I was a little worried about what the storm might bring but it was a bit of a non event here, just quite windy & long rolling thunder, hardly any rain. Sooooo paranoid about another tropical thunderstorm coming like earlier in the year so warm nights like that make me a little nervous as I always feel like a storm is brewing. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1552404 Immigrants? What like your own family a couple of generations ago, they where immigrants. Yes, unless one is 100% indigenous (which lets face it there would be very few people in the country that are) we are all decended from immigrants. On my mum's side I'm a 7th generation Aussie descended from two convicts (and proud of the fact). |
