He could only say this because he was about to die anyway and probably know it, or didn't care anyway.

Nobody else could say this stuff and get away with for very long.

i knew george personally, he was one hell of a fucking guy.

He knew way more than most of you would think. so please dont put the man down for being a mediocre intellectual , he was a fucking hell of alot smarter than ANY of you assholes i promise you that.

How many times did you suck him off? You sound like he paid you big bucks to suck him off.

My dad could think like George Carlin. It's called, erm, using of the brain. No, no, it actually comes from asking questions. Such a learning tool is not taught in schools, is actually frowned upon by the general public and is punishable by hate and spite and everything bad.

I ask questions and now i hate most people because of how i am treated! Like GC!

However i have a much more rich understanding of God and the personal Christ consciousness, unlike GC.
I see his way, he'd never see my way, that's the way it is, no problem.

Yeah he also say he is not in the club either, just wondering why is he doing the horned hand sign when he makes fun of GOD and religions.

Re: It's a BIG Club and you AIN'T in it!
I've posted these same clips and thoughts and sentiments about Carlin dozens of times here on GLP...(This gal's not too well liked around here...NO PIN...WE HATE YOU)

Each time I posted these wonderful clips there was absolutely no, none, zero, zip acknowledgement of Carlin's great insight, philosophical wisdom and keen intellect not only by the GLP mods but by the thread readers.

Someone else posts it and BAM...PINNED!!!

Wait till the genius is posted by somebody you happen to like.

Otherwise ignore the genius. Since I don't like the person who is presenting it Mr. Carlin's genius doesn't exist.

Ahh wisdom...way to recognize genius folks.

Once again, for the vast majority of ignorant human beings TRUTH is based on WHO is presenting it, NOT on the TRUTH itself.

LOL...They would REALLY hate my husband.
He teaches Truth so raw that it makes most people properly uncomfortable rather than lulling them into a soft-soap, fluffy-bubble where they all feel warm and fuzzy and actually learn nothing.

He finds it "a proper necessity" when new students actually dislike him and refuses to take "compliments" from newcomers.

Here are three stories from my husbands book. Theses stories have made been known to make countless so-called spiritual people extremely angry, sadistic, wrathful and insulting. That is the whole lesson...if one is ego-less enough to understand it.

The Bus Stop
"Once there were three strangers who waited at a bus stop together. The bus was running late so one of the men (the one in the middle) wished to know what time it was. The stranger to his right wore a turban and a Kurta. When asked what time it was the turban wearer replied “It’s one o’clock” The man then asked for the time from the stranger on his left, who wore a suit and tie. “It’s one o’clock” the suit wearer answered. The inquiring man believed one stranger but not the other."

The Ugly Box
"Truth delivered in a disfigured box (somebody NOT famous or well known, fat, not well dressed, not a polished speaker...etc) is still Truth. It is a sad fact however, that the majority of religious and so-called “spiritual” individuals will never recognize it, as they do not have the ability to see past the container. This is like throwing away a priceless 5 carat diamond simply because it was delivered in rumpled paper bag."

The Two Survivors
There were two sole survivors of a shipwreck who were paddling about 2 miles into shore. The first of them said to the other "I am very well versed in rare marine biology...let's discuss it" to which the other replied "No, thank you. I only know one thing"
A bit annoyed the first swimmer then stated "Well I am an expert on the subject of water currents and other oceanographic facts." The other swimmer replied "I only know one thing"
Now the first swimmer said "Have I mentioned that I am the foremost expert on sea faring vessels and maritime litigation?" "I only know one thing" said the other.
As they were just a few feet from land a huge wave overcame both swimmers. The first swimmer started splashing and flailing about as he almost drowned. The other swimmer grabbed his talkative friend and pulled them both safely into shore.
"What is the one thing that you know?" sputtered the first swimmer. As he walked away the other one said "I know how to swim."

This is a sad reflection of the mainline human condition in all arenas of life!

Well, at least George DID FINALLY get the recognition he deserves and that should be all that counts.

This is not the late, great George Carlin but it does teach a dramatically important Spiritual Truth if you are wise enough to catch it.

If he would be smarter and know how to increase his chance of success, he would position him self in better position where he would be closer to people and thus breaking the zone barrier people have to cross, and not standing in the dead spot. Better spot would be exactly opposite where he is standing, where the people are coming from, and not where the people are not going. He could also go to wilderness and play there and after complain that nobody had given him any money. So yeah i learned that people do not think before they act, but instead are doing and never correct their fail. He should study sociology and body language after play on musical instrument.

Maybe he was ashamed that he have to do his money this way and that is the reason he distanced him self from people, and most of the people can feel when somebody is distancing him self and react intuitive and do not approach because they feel something is not alright with that person.

One line reminded me of something a former college professor, who worked for the CIA for a few years, said one day in class that struck me.

"The public education system is not about education, it is designed to produce lower middle-class workers who will do what they are told."

He was saying this shit for years, where have you been?
 Quoting: GenieRoze

If you are 13, you can say that he's been saying it for years, but not if you're in your 40s or 50s, like many of us. What he was saying, since the 1960s was like in the post in this thread at Thread: It's a BIG Club and you AIN'T in it! That was his act. It was just a comedy act that was made up of funny stuff about things that we do that are funny, 7 things you can't say on TV, the difference between dogs and cats, and "Stuff"

Then, somewhere around 2007 or 2008, his act changed. He became cynical, and he began talking about the things the Illuminati New World Order people are doing to screw us over. Instead of being a comedian, he became a teacher, and his audience were his students. This, no doubt, ticked off a lot of TPTB.

What may have ticked them off even more, is if what I heard is correct. I heard that he WAS in the Illuminatti. If so, he was revealing their secrets--"under the penalty of death", as they say in their rituals.

In addition to that, he began to appear on talk shows, where he confronted some of the NWO people and live, on camera, made remarks from his new cynical act, about how the powers that be don't give a damn about you, about how you don't have the right to vote, that your vote doesn't count, because we are only given the ILLUSION that we are voting--and then they change that vote "to correct our mistake". (He didn't say so, but that process is called "the Electoral College" which is not a college, just like the "Federal Reserve Bank" is neither Federal, nor does it have any reserve.)

He died "of a heart attack" just after it was announced--but before it was given to him--that he was going to receive the Mark Twain award. They had to "give the award to him" posthumously.

Carlin is bar none the greatest philosopher of the 20th and 21st C.

People don't seem to get what he was trying to pass on to us...
 Quoting: ChopinRocks

You need to read more.

He was funny. That is all.
 Quoting: WalkersEverywhere

I have, my library is full, but Carlin told us like it is. He was the Lenny Bruce of our time.
 Quoting: ChopinRocks

Which makes him a great comedian, not "the greatest philosopher of the 20th and 21st C."

I love Carlin. He was a great comedian who had a philosophical bent (as do many of the true geniuses in most fields), but if judged as a philosopher, he'd barely rate above most philosophy undergrads. He makes no philosophical observations that are the least bit revelatory to philosophers (or even sociologists). He's literally thousands of years late to the party.

He would have admitted to all this. He was a genius comedian, and he probably could have been a decent Philosopher of Sociology if he had devoted his life to it. But he didn't. Meanwhile, thousands and thousands of people who are even smarter than him actually did devote their lives to philosophy. Carlin can't even compete with that crowd, just like they can't compete with him on a comedy stage.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1062912

Ask youself what makes a great philosopher? I have read at least a sample of every notable philosopher of the past C. and before and there are certainly some greats. Russel is right up there in my opinion. I've got every book he wrote. Of course the critics of Russel would always point out that he is just a mathematician. Yeah, whatever...

Nietzsche insight in Superman is notable. I could list more, but the point is just who is reading these books and discussing them? Nerds like me and old dried up college professors most likely. Is the man on the street aware of these philosophers, or even what the fuck philosophy means, that is, what does it mean to philosophize. I doubt it.

Carlin's ability to bring philosophical topics to the table through "humor" is precisely what makes him great, and I'm sure he would agree away from the camera. He knew exactly what he was trying to achieve, and I would hope that it is not lost on the weak minded that only laugh at the way he uses the "seven words".

Because of Carlins comic genius and influence on the everyday joe, he was seen by more people than have read all the philosophers combined. I don't think we can refute that. This, first and foremost makes him the most important and greatest philosopher of his and our time. Hopefully people that get it will be induced to start reading the greats and then proceed to start 'thinking' the correct way.
