I DO NOT SEE COOPERS NAME ANYWHERE LINK PLEASE... In August 17, 2009, the Supreme Court of the United States, over the dissenting votes of two justices, ordered a federal district court in Georgia to consider whether new evidence "that could not have been obtained at the time of trial clearly establishes [Davis'] innocence". The evidentiary hearing was held in June 2010, during which affidavits from several prosecution witnesses from the trial changing or recanting their previous testimony were presented; some affiants asserted they had been coerced by police. The State presented witnesses, including the police investigators and original prosecutors, denying any coercion. Other witnesses who had not testified at trial asserted that Coles had confessed to the killing, but this evidence was excluded as hearsay as Coles was not subpoenaed by the defense to rebut it.
THIS IS CALLED DOUBT............. NEW TRAIL
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1383312 Google is your friend. Why are you defending a piece of sh*t cop killer for anyway. Between you and those sick people on Democracy now I'm about to puke. These people have an agenda, and they are going to pick and choose what they report. 99% of the people in America have no idea about Cooper because they don't want people to know the real Troy Davis. He got what he deserved, just 22 years too late. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1639148 Cooper did not die....................shoot in the face and later testifed;Cooper testified that he was inebriated when shot and said that although Davis was one of the people he had quarrelled with, he "don't know me well enough to shoot me".[24] A friend of Cooper's, Benjamin Gordon, stated that the man who shot Cooper was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts, though on cross-examination he stated he did not know Davis and had not seen the person who shot Cooper.
