Keep dreaming of my dead mother

HOLY CRAP!

Explain further. I have thought of demons doing it too, because recently I have found myself getting closer to God and changing a lot about myself and my behaviors. I feel crazy even talking like this because it is not how I usually am.

You all also have to understand within 48 hours of my mothers death back in May I was taken to the ER and had to have my appendix removed.

Upon her death I vomited and thought it was just stress as I got sicker rapidly. Then my appendix was removed. That is why I missed the wake and funeral because I was in the hospital.

She was not a dark women. She always read the bible and went to church when she was well enough all through her cancer. She died of a massive stroke shortly after liver surgery to remove the rest of the cancer that had spread from her colon.

That is why I don't understand since her death why all these experiences have been so dark.

Read your bible, i know this isnt what you want to hear.
After my grandmother died i was tormented day and night by it.

After i started reading my bible and praying all the nightmares / depression and anxiety went away.

God did for me what years of therapy could never accomplish.
like i said, i know its not what you want to hear, but it's the truth.

I am not against doing that. Why do you think that happened to you after your grandmother died?

Dreams are often metaphors for current concerns in your life. The inability to move, for example, may mean there is something that requires you to act, but you are hesitating. The inability to open your eyes, may indicate that you do not want to admit your true position on the issue. Your mother asking you to wake, may be an unconscious attempt to figuratively and authoritatively "awaken" you to the issue. The cancer may be the issue itself, something previously unthinkable, undesired and unaddressed.

Don't assume the worse.

Yeah, however because of the blood I will def see a doctor now. Also the removal of my appendix within 48 hours of her death was already weird enough for me.

she had once had EST for depression "in the late 60's"

My mother made joan crawfords home look like paradise. She died this year. I have dreams of punching her...I'm ashamed to admit. But its been nearly every night for the past two months...

Not punching her...LOL

It sounds like you have sleep paralysis (sleep apnia).

It could be too that you are about to have a major break thru in your faith and this would ramp up your walk with God.

satan does NOT like that. He wants you back under lock and key to him! Do NOT let him win. He's trying to scare you.

However, I would take the warning from Mom very serious which You are doing.

A month before her actual death I started having dreams that she was calling me on the phone. In my dream she was dead and often told me she was cold and not sure where she was. I would remind her she had died and she would say "yes I know" or "Oh ok". This of course was before her actual death.

Back then it upset me to dream that because I was wanting her to get well and of course at that time she was not actually dead.

You need to let your mother go. Your too wrapped up in her death. I know. My mother died two years ago. It kills me daily. You have to live your life. This is what she would want. Relax, get over the death. Let it go.

It is the opposite that you need to do. Lack of sleep and rest gives you more of the sleep paralysis episodes. Excercise and get tired so that you can sleep better.
I used to get those till I figured out the cause. Even if you get them just remember that it is just a bad dream, try to breeth slowly, don't fight it and you may fall asleep peacefully.

Sorry to hear of your loss. With reading what you and other's have said, this is what i believe may be happening.

Because you were not able to attend the funeral, you feel guilty. Going to a loved one's funeral is a huge closer and you were not able to do that. You blame yourself/your health on not being able to attend.

First, forgive yourself, God has forgiven you. Your mother forgives you. Don't be so hard on yourself. Talk to your Mother, she can hear you.

See that is the weird thing. I am not upset at all about her death. Though we were close. I always thought it would upset me a great deal. And now that it happened I feel nothing. People think I should be upset, yet I am just not. At first I thought maybe it just hasn't hit me, but its been 4 months.

I almost feel bad about not feeling bad about it. Makes me seem like an awful son. Oddly I don't feel guilt over not going. I feel I should...I just don't.

^^^^Why should you feel guilt? Do you think your mother was looking down at her funeral and taking roll? It was only her body...her spirit lives on. Stop worrying about what others think...being in the hospital is a totally valid excuse...but you don't have to justify your decisions to anyone except yourself and God.

Why do you feel a need to shout for help in your dreams? Is it because of the paralysis? Or is something happening in the dreams that is scaring you? If she really came to give you a warning about your health...then be glad she is looking over you even now. She's OK where she is and still loves you.

Before you go to bed, pray about the dreams...that you will understand their message if there is one, or be delivered from them if they are demonic attacks. Be at peace...God is still in control.

A dream of a mother-- so matter what you dreamed is ALWAYS good.
