if it is based on data received and no data has been recieved then why isn't it now dead? Why is it still travelling in orbit?

If it's a simulation programme and not related to the actual satellites then why? what for and who sat there programming it to get lower and lower and why didn't they finish the job by having it stop in the end... instead it is still wobbling about on screen.

The two don't marry up... it's weird!
