I agree this is fucked up...but in Iowa we use shotguns to hunt deer, we use slugs not buckshot. I am assuming they uesde slugs here too. a slug is basically a bullet.

I am not going to watch this video. But, them using shotguns is sick and insane. There is ammo specifically made to kill deer. Or a vet could be brought in to medicate them.

I know deer hunters who share the meat with others so as not to waste it. Even if that wasn't possible, there was no reason to torture these poor animals.

A good hunter can quickly kill a deer with the right rifle and ammunition. It still would have scared the deer since there was an entire herd, but it would have been over very quickly. And easier to clean up afterwards. This is common knowledge. They'd need less than one box of ammo. They could have borrowed the rifles from hunters.
