While I completely disagree with how the state went about it, I do agree with why it was done. Chronic Wasting Disease has a the potential to be a Whitetail Apocalypse.

Yes, they acted like idiots. Yes, they did it in inhumane manner. And it is unfortunate they have no way to test the animals without killing them, but it was reasonable.

Fallow deer are not indigenous to the USA and could potentially cause a bad disease to mutate into something far, far worse.

Imagine that CWD spreads to fallow and mutates into a more virulent strain that spreads to Elk, Pronghorn, perhaps, even cattle! Is it unreasonable for the state to act here? No.

Is how they went about idiotic? Abso-fucking-lutely! Everything I have come to expect from well trained government goons.
