Because the speed of the present moment in which we are living is instantaneous. Light travels at the present moment. When you're walking at night your shadow follows with you instantaneously because the 'Light' instantaneously replaces the area of the surface the shadow was on. Just think about it for a brief moment. The present moment in which we are living 'is' instantaneous! Light is traveling at this present moment, therefore, it too is instantaneous. Anything traveling faster then the present moment would indeed be traveling into the Future. |

Because coming back to the present would be the past and the future was really the present and therefore, you're just traveling back in Time :) |
