Yes it did, it passed within 0.2 AU which is 5 times closer than it will get to earth. It had zero effect on stereo-B.

If you'd actually read the thread you would know that these camparisons have already been done and a video posted.

This may help:
HI-2 images are 70 degrees in total, showing from 18.7 degrees from the sun centre to 88.7 degrees from sun centre, the images are CENTRED at 53.7 degrees from sun centre.

HI-1 Images are 20 degrees in total, showing from 4 degrees to 24 degrees from sun centre, images are centred at 14 degrees from sun centre.

If, as Mrcometwatch seems to believe, there is some massive object showing up in the INNER solar system, it would be visible on STEREO-A, HI-1 and HI-2 too, go check: (it's easy)

Select Telescope: AHEAD HI1

Start date: 20110915 (or whenever)
End date: 20110925 (will get upto most current)
resolution 512x512 (gives clear enough images)
Display one image per x = 1
Display: Slideshow.

Do this again but with satelite 'Behind HI-1'
you can very clearly see the Pleiades cluster, in all it's glory, move across the screen on the Behind HI-1 footage

There is a 5 degree over lap between HI-1 and HI-2 coverage, so objects seen leaving the field of view on HI-1 (to the right) can be seen and coming into view on HI-2 (on the left) at the same time.

Change to Behind HI-2 with the same dates, Here you can see the Pleiades cluster as it comes into view on STEREO-B HI-2.

You can run them side-by-side and see for yourself,

To me, logic dictates that if you cannot see 'MrCometWatchers' object on STEREO-A HI-1 nor 2, it must be behind STEREO-A (from STEREOS-Bs perspective and therefore not in the inner solar system.

I really do not believe MrC understands what he is looking at when he views the satelite images, he has no concept of the difference in field of view between HI-1 and HI-2 cameras

Surely an object the size he mentions would have caused choas in our solar system already?

I can perfectly understand your reaction to the shill's debunking efforts, because I was the one who posted about the same object on STEREO B HI1 several weeks ago!

I also thought it was a good candidate for a brown dwarf because it looked (because of raw beacon imagery) like a round and massive corpse and was seemingly coming to us.

Astromut said it was the Pleiades and I thought at the moment that it was BS, because I wanted my doom and suspected he was simply doing his semi-professional shill job. I call him an idiot and then went on STEREO B HI1 to look at the now better defined images of the object.

The specific features of the Pleiades were easily recognizeable and I was forced to admit that Astromut was right and that I was the idiot. So I made apologizes to Astromut and went back to reality.

In this case:

The definition is also very bad, as in the raw beacon images of HI1, then the Pleiades could as well look like a round and massive corpse.

You can't ignore the fact that this same object is appearing at the same place and in the same time every year (387 days for stereo B), and is moving at exactly the same speed as the stars field. Then it's very likely that it belongs to the starfield.

I admit I don't know anything about astronomy. I've been following all these info from everyone from "it's a scam, there's nothing there" to "it's the end of the world" to the bible prophecy folks. So please don't jump down my throat for asking a question.

I've got Stelllarium, and I sit outside facing south about 10pm every night with the dog relaxing and watching the stars. I even have a cheap Tasco telescope my neighbor gave me and it's cool to look at the moon. The Pleiades came up over the EASTERN horizon around 10 last night. Around 4.5 hours after sunset.

So my question is if this Elenin thing is coming around the sun, how is it being taken for the Pleiades if the sun is about 180 degrees on the other side of the earth?

STEREO-B is not in the same position as earth, it trails earth in its orbit. From STEREO-B HI-2 imager's perspective, Elenin is in the same field of view as the Pleiades, as well as earth and Jupiter.

Here's a comparison image showing what STEREO-B's HI-2 imager should see from its perspective using Celestia, vs what it actually sees. The actual image is a JPG I converted from the raw fits file dated 9/21/2011 at 22:09:21 UT. The HI-2 imager's extreme wide field of view produces a "fisheye" style effect not simulated by Celestia (which I tried to compensate for somewhat), so there is distortion in the actual image, but you get the idea. The star patterns are the same in both, just the real image is "fisheyed" (which is also why the real image gets more out of focus the farther you get from the center of the image)

It's the Pleiades there on the far left, Elenin's position is between that and earth. It's not even visible.

You don't even try to argue it rationally, you just plug your ears, repeat your claim, and lob insults while pretending to be "spiritually superior." Last half of the video shows Pleiades on HI1 & HI2. This is what Pleiades looked like on Soho...11 YEARS ago.
