this is surmisal but I would think if Apollyon were Michael the Bible might say that

to categorically dogmatically state who Apollyon is and what he does beyond what the Bible says is -- in my opinion -- unwise.

and probably unnecessary. anyone can guess and post an opinion. but it is still just that -- a guess. I get a weird feeling researching -/ like I'm looking into things I ought not.

remember if even an angel comes along preaching a different gospel, we are not to regard it. and we are never to worship angels. repeatedly they told people not to in the Bible

Michael, when he appears, will not preach a different gospel, however, his interpretation of the gospel (or the scriptures) will be different from how majority of so-called christians interpret it now.

For this reason, majority will reject Michael, and as punishment, the antichrist will appear after Michael's rejection, and the antichrist will be accepted by those who rejected Michael.



Case in point, some christians believe in pretribulation rapture, while others do not. So who is believing the truth and who is believing a lie?

Is one group preaching a different gospel or is the interpretation of the gospel just different?

Another case in point, is Apollyon a demon or an archangel of God?

Am I preaching a different gospel when I say Apollyon is an archangel, or is my interpretation of the gospel just different?

When Michael comes, he will reveal the correct interpretation of the entire sacred scriptures, but most christians will not agree with his interpretations, and therefore will reject him as an antichrist.

Now if your interpretation of the gospels (or the sacred scriptures) is wrong, do you really believe you have accepted the true gospel of Christ?

No single denomination or sect of christianity today can claim that their interpretation of the gospels is 100% correct, and this is the reason why the power of the Holy Spirit does not manifest in the churches nowadays.

Michael will come to correct this, and those who accept the truth he preaches will receive the power of the Holy Spirit, in the same manner that the 1st century christians did during Pentecost.

OP, I completely disagree with your understanding of who apollyon is.........While I don't hope to change your mind, I would like to present my understanding of who this fallen angel is.... And I am going to pull from a site who puts it together really nicely.




The "sons of God" mentioned in Genesis 6:2, 4 are identified as angels in the Book of Enoch. This was the commonly accepted understanding of this Scripture until at least two centuries after Yeshua. As you can see from the list of angelic chiefs named above, Azazel was not one of the angels specified as having come down on Mount Hermon. An angel named Semjaza is identified as the leader of the small group of angels who lusted after human women. However, we soon see Azazel appear in the antediluvian world:

ENOCH 8:1 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all 2 colouring tinctures. Although Azazel is not initially listed among the rulers of the 200 angels who came down to earth to mate with human women, he appears soon after this event. Later in the book (Enoch 54:4), Azazel is shown to be the ruler of this host of rebellious angels. Azazel, a powerful, high-ranking evil angel, apparently sought to take advantage of the lawless environment in the period of angelic rebellion before the Flood to wreak havoc on humanity. He accomplished this by teaching mankind how to make weapons and the art of warfare, among other things. This displeased God greatly, and Enoch shows that He decreed a stiff punishment for Azazel's sins:

ENOCH 10:1 Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, 2 and said to him: 'Go to Noah and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come 3 upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. And now instruct him that he may escape 4 and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.' And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening 5 in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may 6,7 not see light. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. . . . 8 . . . the whole earth has been corrupted 9 through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin. We see from the excerpt we just read that Azazel's punishment was to be bound and cast into an opening made in the desert and sealed up there, covered by rough and jagged stones in darkness. He was to remain in this place until the time of his judgment, when he would then be cast into the fire.

I am aware of the rebellious angels, and the Book of Enoch, but where in the book of Enoch does it say that Apollyon is a rebellious angel?

my bad........rev. 9:11 refers to abaddon. It is my own studies that have revealed that azazel and abaddon are the same.

1And they have over them a sovereign, the messenger of the pit of the deep, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apolluon.

Here is one reason why Azazel and Abaddon (the destroyer) are not the same entity. The book of Enoch tells us that Azazel was bound in the desert of Dudael by Raphael before the Great Flood. On the other hand, Abaddon (or the destroyer) was freely roaming Egypt, smiting their firstborn, at the time of the Passover:

Personally (because of the work I do and what I've seen), I believe that these so called 'Underground Bases' may play a part in all this Abyss stuff.

That would explain Abyss in the fourth dimensional logic...

Atlantean style under-the-sea military base.

In other words you guys are both right... water and earth.

They have to bio-engineer this creature in a very secret place... so that it's energies do not affect us 'above ground' folk. Just my take on it.

I believe the Abyss is where souls are created and where souls return to when people die. This is why I believe Eden (where Adam was created) is the Abyss.

Eden, The Abyss, Valhalla, the afterlife, heaven whatever you want to call it is another dimension. It has no physical place IMHO as it exists alongside, within or above and below this dimension. You can get there with meditation.

The gate (or singularity) to this other dimension is inside the crater of Mount Nemrut, or Eden.
