This looks like it is a video of an earlier time when the moon was full. The moon is waning crescent now. That does not look like a waning crescent moon. The imagery is amazing!! [link to www.cfht.hawaii.edu] Yes your welcome and its a beautiful view for anyone but freaky to what that is!!!!! it's Mars. the sensitivity of that camera is much better than your eyes, so when a bright planet like mars appears, it overwhelms the camera, and appears to be much bigger than it actually is. this thread will probably make 15 pages regardless of what I say though, so I'll vote for a pin for you OP.  When dose mars light the sky like that come on you have to do better than that. Go fast or go home |

IT IS THE MOON AND THE LIGHT SENSITIVITY ON THAT CAMERA IS REALLY SENSITIVE SO IT MAKES THE WHOLE MOON LIGHT UP.IF YOU NEED PROOF YOU CAN FREEZE THE FRAME WHEN THE OBJECT IS HALFWAY UP AND YOU SEE THE CRESCENT SHAPE AND IT'S A LITTLE BRIGHTER THAN THE REST. |
