OP, there is a book (if you can still get a hold of it) by Dr. Gleason Archer. The name of the book is, "The Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties" It has a lot of answers to a lot of questions that come up. One that I had that the Archer book answered...why are the genealogies different in Matthew and Luke...one follows the genealogy of Mary and one follows the Joseph (Jesus's stepfather). I would disagree with you we do not need a book by a person on what any part of the Bible says, that is EXACTLY where it has gone wrong. Also OP take into account only what has been ALLOWED into the Bible by Those in High places (not heavenly btw)is what did and did not make it into the final cut!
