The OP is in a dead-end job. You don't leave recruiting. It's a punishment. He likely will never even make it to officer training, which means he will forever spend his days behind a desk, lying to people to make his commission out of fear of further punishment.
He's a sad man, who is acting out because he likely realizes that he'll have to separate from the Army (maybe not even honorably, if he's there for botching something) if he ever intends on making something of himself.
There's a saying in the Air Force.
"Those who can, do. Those who cannot, recruit."

I can help young people who don't have much of a chance in life actually make something of themselves. Whats your job, stud? I put in 5 in Security Forces (for the enlistment bonus,) got into CID and another 6 in SATCOM and now I'm a defense contractor with GEDEF making more money than would fit on your DEFAS log.
