Soulcatcher (OP) User ID: 1541444 United States 09/26/2011 12:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Someone promised one but I have my doubts. Im a photographer and short of having iut aimed up at that exact moment I dont see how you could get it. Are there any stationary sky cams in the area? While looking around I saw this site, It seems others have been seeing odd lights too. [link to www.weatherwatch.co.nz] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1066534 United States 09/26/2011 12:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yo, this shit happens all the time. I have seen HUGE FIREBALLS ripe through the sky IN UP-STATE NY Earth is getting hit by something like every 5 minutes, unless they are huge... they burn up in the air That is what you saw. If you watch the sky a lot you will see them more often. It is the none-fire things I have seen in the sky that freak me out. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 68118 United States 09/26/2011 12:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hope someone got video of it. Back in 04 I saw my first fireball, it was a jaw dropping experience. I stepped outside to whistle for my dog at around 2am and I heard a faint crackling noise like a sparkler overhead, looked up and saw a slow moving orange red ball with a yellow tail. I watched it for about 3 seconds until it disappeared over the horizon. It was moving southeast. |

Soulcatcher (OP) User ID: 1541444 United States 09/26/2011 01:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | fireballs move so fast that unless somebody already has a camera pointed at the sky its not going to be captured. You are going to have to accept OP's obvious enthusiasm plus others. It happened and others had to have seen it. And yeah NO way to get a camera ready for that, just to fast. |
