Question on Preps
I have at least two options for hiding out with my kids. One is to go to my parents, they have preps and a storm shelter but they are only 250 ft above sea level.

Or, go camping in the mountains 1250 ft above sea level with very little provisions.

Since our government has closed all of the caves in my area for the bats (thanks you EPA dipshits), I doubt I can find one without bars on it. There are a few open for tours of only an hour.

Which is the best scenario?

Re: Question on Preps
Go to your parents. Every wannabe yahoo prepper is going to try to camp out. You can bet that many of them will assume that all they need is a gun, and they can take what they want from who they want.

It's better to be in a big family unit. If your group needs to move, then you can move as a group.

bump

Please help me decide. If the Earth is going to roll, I should be up high, otherwise I should stick close.

Re: Question on Preps
It is best to build a community and stay with family. Do not venture out alone with two valuable assets like that. Prep harder and an underground parking garage is a lot like a cave. Be mobile with family when you have to. DO NOT GO INTO THE WILD UNLESS YOU HAVE TAKEN COURSES AND HAVE LOTS OF AMMO.

I know how to collect and purify water and dandelions are in abundance for soup. Yes, I have lots of ammo.

Here is the real question, will Earth roll?

If this thing passed us before, did we roll then?

The best bug out tool you can have is pair of bolt cutters. Not just to gain entrance to the caves you mention, but for fences and gates that may be limiting your mobilitycool2

Also, my Uncle once told me that the Ozarks are the only mountains that have never, in the history of the earth, been underwater. Bring your ammo, though.

These are the mountains I am heading for, Bentonville, Arkansas.

I'm telling the girls we are camping and going to see some caves. They are very excited.
