looks alright to me, except for the wall.

Isn´t this a computer generated image, not an actual view from some space satellite?

What do computers tend to do, well not really the computers more the programmers? Yes , they fuck up.

Maybe the chaotic lines anomoly is some software glitch.

You know this site has been down for a few days.

I expect it's something like instrument calibration or its just settling down after a reboot.

We should give it a few more hours before anyone panics.

Peace out.

Dear Mr Martin Smets

Thank you for your interest in our magnetosphere simulation.

Our magnetosphere simulation stopped due to interruption of
electric service and resumed around 6:00 UT on 9/26.

I joined GLP around May last year and can say that I have seen that happen before, it came to a point where there was no field at all which freaked everyone out at the time asking the same questions as now.

Everyone that claims to have watched it for years and not see that before is lying, because how can I remember something like this within the last 16 months?

Re: NICT Real Time Magnetosphere Simulation is back up. Anyone seen it look like *this* before?
For me this looks like missing data.
We need to see how it develops over time. As NICT does not publish any information on their system status, the down time could have been caused by a system crash over the weekend. I must admit, that I was also keen to see what the simulation would look like during these massive CMEs we have had over the past days, but it looks like we are still having time to see the magnetosphere go wild... I do not have a compass or stuff like that, but personally speaking I would says that we had have had lots of disturbances in the magnetic field over the weekend - at least that is what it felt like.

So, let's keep our eyes open on what's going on - as far as we are allowed to see ;)

Cheers

one word "Typhoon"
equals power outage come on guys do your homework

its only when elenin is in alignment our magnetosphere gets fuckedup and even then it wont go anywhere as long as we have a north and southpole.

The only danger is earthquakes not a collapsing magnetosphere

No one comments on the crazy magnetic field? I've never seen it look that tangled before.

edit: It looks like someone scribbled with crayons.

It interacts with the Polarities of CME's/Flares..You'll quite often see it in a right mess as it gets tugged and ripped at by incoming CME's/Flares.

your right earlier there was a faint if not ghost of the magnetosphere, the solar winds must of almost be non existent, for the bow wave to dissipate as it has earlier today 6.30 ...7.30 shows nearly no resistances / winds at all.

just pull out your compass, see if the thing is going crazy or pointing in the wrong direction. I am in West Jacksonville, my house sits in SW, its still in SW right now. Doom off, go back to bed or get ready for work. We can find more doom when we get off work

if you hav been following this it is very worrying as the earths mag field has to decay completely before a flip and this is the last thing anyone of us need to see right now as it points toward just that and at this time too with all thats been sed about nibiru

Simulation.

That means that the images created are based on data received. If data fails to be received, then the simulation will not work as intended.

That's what seems to be happening there.

This looks fine.

Except for one thing: There is no incoming sun activity bouncing off. None.

Now THAT I have never seen. Especially the last two years.

Something is wrong. Either they are withholding the sun burst data or something is blocking the incoming bursts.

Data from 6 hours ago shows they just started collecting:

[link to www2.nict.go.jp]

No pressure data (naturally)

Then six hours later:

[link to www2.nict.go.jp]

Still nominal pressure from the sun.

Impossible. Something is affecting the sun or the data is bogus.

Exactly. There should be a good bit of pressure.
