This is a good question:
What effect would a coronal mass ejection have on a passing asteroid?
Any thoughts?
Quoting: northerntomcat Proton and photon pressure is too weak to cause any changes on an asteroid orbit. However depending on the composition of the rock, heat from the Sun could cause trapped gases to expel thus, theoretically it can cause a deviation.
