Mainstream physics is wrong. Particles that travel faster than light found.
Neutrino results challenge a cornerstone of Albert Einstein's special theory of relativity, which itself forms the foundation of modern physics.

An Italian experiment has unveiled evidence that fundamental particles known as neutrinos can travel faster than light. Other researchers are cautious about the result, but if it stands further scrutiny, the finding would overturn the most fundamental rule of modern physics—that nothing travels faster than 299,792,458 meters per second ....

Re: Mainstream physics is wrong. Particles that travel faster than light found.
So I'm thinking about the old explanation about the dudes in the ship that accelerates towards lightspeed and time on the ship passing normally for them, but like when they get back to Earth it's like 10 tens the amount of time has passed... you know that one right?

(I don't know the math).

So... is it conceivable that if you break the lightspeed barrier and achieve transluminal speeds, time onboard the ship literally... stops?

Making interstellar travel, even pan-galactic travel possible?

You can depart from anywhere and arrive anywhere in the universe... instantly (from your perspective).

Maybe, I dunno, I'm just a moran.

Sounds cool though.

I thought more people would actually care that mainstream physics is a lie.

you got the gist of it right.

we are already travelling faster than the speed of light.

speed is something relative between two objects.
