Re: IF JESUS WAS HERE IN PERSON, MOST CHRISTIANS WOULD HATE HIM
Hmmmm, so anybody else meet any Avatars or Yogis or Messiahs or Gods in this lifetime? I mean "in the flesh"?

Tell me about it.

This is important. The mental gymnastics we go through with religion/spirituality might all amount to nothing. I was better off years ago before I tried to "find" anything related to spirit.

What if the search for God is the ultimate trap?

What if.....it is absolutely unnecessary?

Re: IF JESUS WAS HERE IN PERSON, MOST CHRISTIANS WOULD HATE HIM
I would hope not...I hope I can feel him in my spirit.

I saw the first half of "The Encounter" on netflix and had to turn away, it just felt blasphemous. A short synopsis:

People stranded in diner with man who says he's Jesus. This man seems to know everyones life story and wants you to worship him.

I would have a hard time believing this, no matter what he said or did.
 Quoting: Aster

My point is that EVEN IF you felt him in your spirit, and even if you technically "believed", my assertion is that the human mind is not equipped to deal with it.

You would recoil from the annoying behavior of other people around him. You would have doubts in the back of your mind haunting you.

Even if he healed your father, made great works of art, made you feel bliss and ecstasy in a descending pillar of light.....you would still not be able to DEAL with the REALITY of it.

So, this makes mere "belief" utterly useless in and of itself does it not?

That is my question.

....And as for searching for God: There's a saying; "For this is Life Eternal, that Ye might Know God." So yes, I think its important to ALWAYS search for that which is beyond what one thinks they know! :)

not just non-believers. christians would not accept a man as God if it were before their eyes. It doesn't work the way you imagine. You have to come face to face with a real human body, with imperfections. He wouldn't be glowing with light in a magical orb floating above you.

Could you follow a man as God if you had the chance? It's harder than you can imagine.

Who cares if they hate him. He is the lord. Not a weak little atheist or cowardly satanist. He comes with wrath and judgement. He doesn't come to cater to the ways of man. He brings the ways of God the father!

From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. Revelation 19:15

"I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword" (Gospel of Matthew 10:34)

Re: IF JESUS WAS HERE IN PERSON, MOST CHRISTIANS WOULD HATE HIM
I have lots of experience with spiritual teachers, gurus, avatars and the like.
I've sat in Darshan with Adi Da Samraj, witness miraculous events and seen the cultic nature of human beings first hand.

I realized that most religious people are full of hot air. They talk a big game, quote their Bible endlessly, but if they were face to face with God in the form of a man, they would almost ALWAYS reject him.

It is too much to accept God in a human body. You only think accept Jesus because he is safely dead and gone, only to be imagined in your minds what he was like. If you saw what he was really like, you would be disgusted, offended, and it would be too much to deal with, and you would not follow him.

With this in mind, consider the nature of reality & spirituality, and question whether or not your beliefs are necessary and true like you assume.

I would recommend reading "Not a Fan" by Kyle Idleman. Amazon sells it for around $10. It brings up a great question. In relation, the Bible is important to read as well.

I'm not trying to piss people off, but I'm trying to share something that billions of people never consider....
They imagine meeting Jesus in heaven, or in some mystical fashion. What they don't realize is that the true test of faith that they think would be easy as can be would be the most difficult thing in the world to do.

IF this is even remotely true, then religious people should really examine what they are believing to be the nature of existence, the nature of God itself.

There might be so much more to it than they could even think.
 Quoting: BossBattles

That's very true, it is usually pretty rare for a human to see Jesus right after death because he is usually on Salvington (spiritual capital of this galaxy). He'll visit the lower spheres occasionally, but that doesn't mean you'll see him when he does. Even as spirit, faith is required.

I agree. Well said.

The ego does not want to accept any other person as God or Existence.

This is because everybody secretly believes that they are God themselves, and only themselves. They may be conscious of this, but most are unconscious of this. They think "He thinks he is God?! Only I am God!

And you are right, it is very easy to accept a dead master like Jesus, Moses, Mohammad, Krishna, Buddha, etc. because the ego thinks, "Well they are dead, so again only I am God! They were God, but now only I am God!"

The funny thing is that everyone and everything is God, but the ego doesn't like that! Because if everyone and everything is God, then my enemy is also God right! And the guy who swore at me the other day is also God right? That is very difficult for the ego to accept. It means that we are all one, and there is no separation.

But ego loves separation, because it feeds on separation, without separation the ego cannot exist, it would be annihilated!

So, think again about Jesus' words, "If someone slaps you on the face, give them your other cheek." That means show God that you know that you are not separate from your enemy.

The enemy is within you, not without. The enemy is your ego, what separates you from God, from existence.

OP...I knew you'd have negative karma when I read your thread! A tolerent christian brother gave me my negative mark for daring to question his religion. Reason : Jesus is King. So I gave you good karma to balance the scales.

As far as gurus go, no, Ive never met one. However I've been to alot of differnt churches and met alot of different pastors, priests and whatnot and they always radiate this "holier than thou" vibe. Especially the really good charismatic preachers who are popular, they give off a "Rock Star" spirituality that is very eerie. Look at a service by John Hagee one of the many charismatic christian stars, he's creepy, weird, devilish, worships Israel and acts like he's one of the 12 disiples reincarnated.

In reality he's probably smokin crack, buggaring the choir boys and spending the millions of tax free money running around on nude beaches in France fondling his weiner. All the while begging little old ladies for their last dollar so they could go to heaven, with his blessing. Talk about bad karma!!

Don't worry, what these people think is God is only their own ego, or they can call it the Devil if they like. Devil and Ego are one and the same. They are illusions that have been designed to fool and enslave people, to keep them from God and their own Souls.

They all will awaken someday in some distant life maybe. But there is something called spiritual evolution and every soul is traversing it, whether they like it or not. Kicking and screaming if need be. LOL

The ego wants to keep people in fear, so it has created a God of fear. People lost in fear are very easy to control.
