Greek Default Will Trigger an Immediate “Magnitude 10” Earthquake Across Europe."...
"the euro is “practically dead” and Europe faces a financial earthquake from a Greek default"... “The euro is beyond rescue”... “The only remaining question is how many days the hopeless rearguard action of European governments and the European Central Bank can keep up Greece’s spirits.”...."A Greek default will trigger an immediate “magnitude 10” earthquake across Europe."..."Holders of Greek government bonds will have to write off their entire investment, the southern European nation will stop paying salaries and pensions and automated teller machines in the country will empty “within minutes.” In other words: welcome to the Apocalypse...

The real doom is the continued financial crisis of the Western World. There is no way this can end without a complete overhaul of the system -- there will not be an overhaul until this mess collapses.

I know we love to banter around about Elenin but we need to be preparing ourselves for very hard times ahead & a lifestle that is far different from what we sre accustomed.

I fear that when Europe & the US are in the throes of a full economic breakdown, that is when the attacks will occur. The organizations that hate us are patient; they will strike when we have the least ability to retaliate.

They are going to usher in The One World Government, what the Bible calls, The Beast. I don't think this is a good thing, dear. I say that only faith in Jesus Christ is good and full of hope, everything else, esp. money will only lead to the downfall of a man.

God Bless, dear.

DOW & all other US indices going south now, metals as well. The past few days increases were a "dead cat bounce" good only for selling what remaining positions held into. Bear markets always have short term rallys. Keep looking for lower lows & lower highs in the stock markets & PMs.

The market fundamentals are still screwed.

Great thread, Jane. You really should have gotten the pin. (Sorry, Nick. Fair's fair. She beat you by an hour.)

Quick question to you and Martial since y'all seem well beyond my meager experience as an investor: If everything's going down, what do we invest in? I've been a silvertard for about three years, and I've already made a nice profit, but I don't want to ride it all the way down if it's not coming back up.

I don't want to get into treasuries for two reasons. I see inflation coming, since I don't think, long term, Bernanke can control his impulse to print, and rates will have to come up at some point. Also, just out of general principle; I don't want to be the government's crack dealer.

e.u is an union to stop german army. euro is a currency to stop german exports. some german politicians supported these ideas, because they did not want germany to rise once again. they sold their country to france.

however german people did not sell their countries to france. german people worked so hard and they rised the german empire once again.

euro failed. 75% of eu's imports are coming from germany. german economy is like a machine.

if eu collapse like soviet union, german export machine loses her post modern colonies and markets. so, germans may would like to redesing the german war machine to get their markets back.

russia is so far away to stop germany. usa have big economical problems. china cant send her army to the west.

united kingdom is only 1 country which is able to fight against the german war machine.

japan may sides with germans.

history always repeats itself.

if eu collapse, ww3 may comes.

as a turk, i want to stay as neutral.

I know what you're saying...but I would stick to your gameplan...price is irrelevant. Once the paper market (SLV and GLD) is exposed as the fraud it is, who knows how high the price will go?

At that point, the big boys (JPM) won't be able to suppress the price and their fraud and the dollars weakness will be exposed for all to see...as they lose control and everyone demands physical (and then realize there isn't NEAR enough physical for every paper gold/silver they are holding) the price will explode.

There are so many things that could set it off. While it is true, PM's could go down in the short term (more margin requirement hikes...though they can't do this forever...) there is no way gold/silver go down in the long run compared to the dollar. No way.

Good to hear you both agree with my strategy. I'm almost all PMs at this point. I just keep enough cash for household operations.

I know I sound like a broken record, Martial, but I am so ready for this to all go down. We all know it's coming, so let's just GTF on with it.

No way.

I agree with Martial. I am at a loss to adivise people on where to put their money at this time. I am in PMs and cash. Sitting on the cash waiting for what looks like a good re-entry point but it is not right now. I wish I could say what that re-entry is. I am still holding my metals and intend to do so because in the end even tin foil have more value than paper & ink.

The sooner we get this over with, the less painful it will be. If an infected wound is ignored long enough, sepsis ensues and will kill the entire body. I would argue that the sepsis has already set in from the many years of neglect shown this problem.

Now, you're more into my area of expertise. The investing thing always confounds me, because there are so many awful people out there screwing with the market, but the underlying economics don't change.

I can't wait for this fake economic paradigm we were born into collapses, this is one form of doom I think is necessary.

This is an outstanding thread. Jane did beat me by an hour. To be completely honest I saw the story and scanned through the forum as fast as I could. I missed Janes thread or I swear I would have never tried. Fair is fair. This was not fair. I concede and digress.

If anyone thinks it's even worth it at this point, I'd be glad to unpin my thread.

sincerely,
