Re: Anyone Else Here Noticing a "STAR" that seems to be Getting Brighter and Brighter Each Day?
I was asking my brother about the same thing last night. I'd been trying to photo it a few weeks ago, and got it with 2-3 moons around. It was Jupiter, duh. I guess I just never noticed it before. The interesting thing was, when I was trying to photo it, it was also a full moon. I was taking my camera (I borrowed a halfway decent one with a big lens from a friend) and just shooting the dark areas of the sky, to see if the stars would show up when I loaded them. I just pointed and clicked in different areas. Then, I got the urge to increase the light in the photos, as that can bring things out of the black background. In two of the photos, there was a big sphere, or circle, like something was there in the dark sky, that just barely showed up when I added light. It showed up as quite large in the photos, too. It was not really something I could see any detail in, it was just like a ball of light, faint, but there. It was only in two of the shots, in different places in the shots, and the ones before and after them were just black like nothing there. Weird!

:jupiter23:

It seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here. (Luke 11:29-32)

CHrist already prophesyed about this signs in the sun and the moon and the stars Christ is coming back taking vengeance on the enemies of the cross and carring up the elect on October 21 2011
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1551362

what on earth or in scripture makes you believe that anyone is to be removed from earth, now or in future?

if you understood what the Elect were you would consider your comment as to them being "carried up" by Christ on Oct 21st as utterly ridiculous, which it is.

the true Christ isn't removing anyone! The only one removing people without eyes to see or ears to hear will be antichrist in the guise of Christ.

Hi,

I have been watching it for ages too.

And it IS getting bigger.

I know that as someone has said, everything looks 'bigger' up there at the moment.

But that 'star is definitely getting bigger!

And it is still visible when daylight has come and nothing else is visible. It just stays there like it has its lights on lol

I photographed it in the day time a month or so ago.
And again last night. Just on my mobile phone.

I will put my pics on photobucket so i can show them.
 Quoting: Tauranga

I have been watching it since June, closely

The last time I checked it thru binoculars it had the perfect shape of a tetrahedron, two triangles with their bases aligned...

it also had a "hole" in the center.

very interesting as I saw the same tetrahedral "lighted" object in the Antarctic time lapse videos and it could only be "seen" thusly (clearly anyway) with stop frame tactics being utilized.

You people do know that Venus is the brightest light in our sky next to the moon and sun right ? Not Jupiter...
 Quoting: Amaapple

Google Sirius. It is the brightest star and appears in the eastern sky in September. Search GLP for Sirius, lots of threads.

I guess we are looking at different objects. According to Stellarium and my compass, I am seeing Sirius, which is now rising in the SE in the midwest. It is below Betelgeuse and flanked by Procyon and Rigel. Google Sky has blocked this star off of their software, as have others.

Here is a great thread about it: Thread: BREAKING!!!----Why is Sirius blocked from Google Sky? Because----OUR SUN IS IN A BINARY WITH SIRIUS!

Threads like this suck. You know why?

Where does the OP or any of you live in relation to me or others? So you say it is in the western sky, but if you live in Montana and I live in NW PA (which I do) then we don't know if it is the same.

So, post your location and the time you see it plus your time zone:

10 PM last night NE sky. Might be Jupiter or Sirius according to Stellarium but it is a weird star even my wife mentioned it.

Your turn.

It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense. They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage. — Isaac Asimov

Here's a thought..what has been will be,and what will be has been, history repeats itself...so..what if all the other planets are earths before us..and God has create a new heaven and a new earth many times before....???signs of things to come?

okay so maybe it's a falling satellite,or wormwood,jupiter,venus,the antichrist,the archangel or something...

Seriously though.,I noticed it a few weeks ago,and yes it is getting larger/closer and much brighter.

I noticed it around 11pm a couple nights this week after getting home from.

I couldn't believe how close it looks...can't remember seeing anything like that before. But then again, I've probably never paid as much attention as I do these days.

My brother and I both got pics of it - it's Jupiter, and moons. And I began to notice it earlier this year, unusually bright, never noticed it before, so think it has not been like that in the past. Wonder why?

Dam it, my kid wiped those pics and i can't seem to get the effect again.

Sorry i haven't posted the newer pics yet.
