I am guessing there is a window of time before the wave were to hit but coastal areas will be blocked with fleeing humans.
Unless of course you leave well before it happens.

Scientist have found that an increase of quakes in 3 magnitude range is a clear sign of a large quake striking in the not so distance future. WHAT I JUST READ INDICATES THERE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN FIVE ABOVE 3.0 IN THE LAST HOUR. UH OH!
