I currently hear thunder ( I think it is thunder ) in queens ny

noise is gone where im at (Bensonhurst brooklyn). . alot of people on my facebook seem to be reporting it tho. and i retweeted a few check my twitter @surrealfm

i know what thunder is. it wasnt thunder or fireworks..it was 15 minutes straight of rumbling . i ignored at first thinking it might of been fireworks for the holidays some kids might of lit up. but from my bbm list to twitter to facebook everyone around me were making the same comments.. im going to check the nyc radio scans

I'm in Brooklyn, too -I also heard this rumbling/continuous explosion sound starting at 9:30 pm. Not a storm, either.

This happened here in Illinois recently. Strange, continuous rumbling similar to distant thunder that lasted
20 minutes. Never did figure out what it was. Weird.

I also am hearing some loud rattles on the east coast. It is storming where I am but it doesn't sound like thunder to me.

We had just gotten in when I heard it.

I called to my wife to ask her if she heard it.

It was 3 or 4 constant low booms and not like thunder or fireworks.

I'm in Monmouth County, NJ.

Did it sound like the same noise in that video ^^

I'm in Bensonhurst as well, but I didn't hear any rumbling around 9:30.

About a half hour ago (2am-ish) I thought I felt like a tremor or something. Ever since the EQ rolled through, I've felt mini little tremors. Don't know if it's just me or I'm sensing stuff.

Yeah I heard that earlier. It was kind of thunderish but definitely not thunder. Couldnt figure out what it was at all. Never heard anything exactly like that before.

I haven't heard anything and I am on Staten Island and am sensitive to sounds (when not listening to music).

My husband and I heard it last night in Brooklyn, NY, too. It sounded like artillery going off in the distance. Very loud. Did not sound like thunder.
I even turned on the news to see if anything was going on. We have heard this before this year. Strange.

Me and my husband heard sounds like that video on Sunday here in Indiana. Kinda freaked us both out.

I heard the sounds too last night but waited for the "finale" when usually they shoot them off a bunch at a time. This happened before, in the summer but it was also another random fireworks event. It seems from where I live, I can hear them echoing from Ellis Island

Sounds were also heard in Ashvill NC.
