If the public schools in the US were doing such a great job, I probably would not have even considered this option. For you to suggest that the US public school system isn’t a for the most part a wreck, shows that you have not been paying attention.

If you live in another country, my sentiments do not apply, I am only speaking in terms of US schools.
Because I care about my son’s education, and am willing to take a major role doesn’t make me a bad parent but rather a committed and concerned good parent.
