Gas Odor Reported Throughout SW Washington
I have never created a post here on GLP but I think this is worthy of my first.

This is reported in my local paper. I am in the affected area and while I don't smell the gas at this time, I find it quite concerning. I find it hard to buy the notion that a vessel on the Columbia could be affecting such a widespread area. Please tell me what you think.

"Wide-ranging reports of a gas odor had Northwest Natural Gas officials searching for the source Friday morning. But as of 10:30 a.m. Friday -- hours after initial reports starting coming in -- the Portland-based utility had yet to identify the source of the smell, said spokeswoman Jenna Cooper-Gross."

Re: Gas Odor Reported Throughout SW Washington
We have certainly had a few visible the past couple of days with the blue skies. There were many more this summer. Interesting idea.

I also wonder if it could be volcanic, we are a volcanic region. There were several micro EQ's over the past day in the area but that isn't anything terribly abnormal. The quakes were all in the affected area however.

eq explosion bump

I hope we don't explode. That would really ruin an otherwise beautiful Friday.
