I was just on a walk and had never seen anything like it before, huge hoards of geese flying north-west at sunset in Oregon. Quoting: trying2bstill Pole shift Yep birds use the earths magnetic field to navigate their migration patterns. If the Earth Magnetic field are bolloxed birds will go the wrong way. |

It was in 2 phases, I can still remember it. One part was geese or ducks or birds in mass quantities flying in the sky somewhere, in the same direction. The second part was a countless number of squirrels or badgers? or some similar looking rodent looking animals all migrating what seems up or northword or to a point <- maybe toward the sun. I knew in my heart that this was a dream of the RAPTURE of the Church. These were the signs I saw 1 year ago in a dream. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2420357 United Kingdom 10/01/2011 04:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's also quite likely that they haven't actually started migration yet, and are just moving from one feeding area to another - either food was getting low or they've been scared off by something. There's a large reserve near me where thousands of geese come each summer. They'll fly off in big flocks every morning looking for food, and can head in just about any direction. And even when they're in "migration" mode they don't just fly in a straight line from winter to summer grounds (or vice versa). They use magnetic fields to some extent, but also follow landmarks, like rivers, major roads, towns, lakes etc. so their route can be quite indirect. Oh, and they regularly fly at night as well. Some studies have even shown evidence they can use the stars to navigate... |

Quoting: trying2bstill Pole shift Exactly, animals have senses that point them to a safe location. It's very evident we are onto some kind of shift. What if it is connected, the planet will have a pole shift and people will have a awareness shift. I already satrting to feel weird, in a mysterious way, it comes by itself, the result I'm starting to feel different bit by bit everyday. It's not GLP since I have been here for 10 years almost and doom was always close on this site. This time it's a bit different. |

They can be flying in just about any direction when they're doing that. Oct 1 - It had all types of birds in my dream. Huge penguins, seagulls, pelicans, even giant turtles and they were all walking in to a church. Then someone mentioned "its a miracle". I don't know about the RAPTURE part because im not into that but we had very similar dreams. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 2420357 United Kingdom 10/01/2011 08:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes, it's so "evident" that not one piece of verifiable evidence has been produced to back up this ridiculous and often-repeated claim. Compasses still point at the magnetic poles, which haven't changed their speed of movement by any great amount. The sun, moon and stars continue their annual dance across the skies, following the same paths they have for thousands of years. Continental drift continues at the same slow, slow pace as it has for many millions of years. Despite the continuing claims of "pole shifts" nobody has ever come up with either the evidence of it happening or any plausible reason why it should. I already satrting to feel weird, in a mysterious way, it comes by itself, the result I'm starting to feel different bit by bit everyday. Anonymous Coward User ID: 2482849 United Kingdom 10/02/2011 05:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NOTHING is as its been for 1000's of years. Airports closing to re adjust to the 'new' magnetic north, mass animal die-offs this past year alone, plane crashes increases worldwide and..shall I continue? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2214632 Please do. Magnetic north (and south) always changes - that's why charts show not only the variation when they're printed, but the annual rate of change as well. Airports have always had to update runway numbers when the change in polar position makes it neccessary, although it's more often in some places than others. There have always been animal and bird "die-offs", and there always will be. Statistics show no increase in numbers of these events in recent years, you just notice them more because TV and the internet spread information around the planet faster and better. Same with plane crashes - statistically there's no recent increase, jut more reporting of them. And why would changes in magnetic fields cause plane crashes anyway? Modern aircraft don't fly by magnetic compass. The poles have always moved. See here for maps showing the recorded movements of both poles - [link to geokov.com] It's not a new phenomenon, so is it better believing the nonsense on a few fringe science sites, or doing a bit of research to find out what's actually happening? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 276706 United Kingdom 10/02/2011 05:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the geese are very much confused. With unusual hot weather all over the world for this time of the year, the geese think spring has arrived and they are going back north. Unfortunatly this means that majority of them will die by next week when the weather cahnges and sudden cold comes back. This time of the year apple trees are shedding leaves. Yet my wife called me in the garden this morning (south west UK) and showed me our apple tree with 5 bunches of flowers on it. I was amaze and shocked. This tree is not going to survive the winter. If it does it would loose all its energy by next spring and will not recover for at least another 2 seasons. I am not concerned about one little apple tree in my garden. Point is, this is going to be similar all over the world and the devestation to crops might be far too difficult to recover from. |
