Cowgirl, it's time for me to start the day. 8 am here in Holland.

Oh Thank You so much! That is one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read!!!! "Don't waste your time just grieving" .... That line touched my heart and is perfect for my situation.

Jack is not doing well...He's gone off his food and has sadness in his eyes. His mind is sharp but his body is failing quickly. I can feel that his spirit wants to stay because he thinks he needs to take care of me. So, I had a chat with him about an hour ago and assured him that I will be fine..he needs to move on. Watching him do the march toward death is very difficult but I'm trying to be strong for him. Crossing over is never easy.

There's too much dog doom in my personal life so this has been a wonderful distraction!!!

I didn't actually read all of the thread, but I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I've lost about 5 of them.
