Registered users will vote online about this, but AE is already getting slots on the 2012 ballots in all 50 states in case Americans want an alternative to the skull and bones, Bilderberger routine.

This means an independent ticket is very likely.

Now that is thinking ahead!

Really?

I can't stand Wrong Paul but this would be big news, if true.

It would split the rightwing vote enough to really hurt the repub nominee.

Would Paul accept a 3rd party nomination?

He supposedly ruled it out. I had an idea like this, called the internet party, where the party had no fixed ideas, anyone could win the nomination based on internet voting.

Any 3rd party had better figure out how to audit the counting of the vote, and insist on it.

The vote count can be tampered with:
at the voting machine
when the votes are transferred to the Voters News Service mainframe
at the mainframe
when the votes are reported

Otherwise, they can have 50 parties and it won't matter.

The main problem for third parties tends to be that people don't want to vote for them for fear of splitting the vote for one side or the other and handing the other side victory.

Of course if there was one "3rd party" from each side then that effect might be lessened.

There are rumors of an emerging elite-backed "Centrist" party to offer an "alternative" to R's and D's

It won't be Ron Paul because centrism involves lots of federal programs just like far-left liberalism

Never forget, mainstream = controlled opposition
