When the US Government can murder one of its own citizens and refuse to release evidence claiming 'state secrets' then every single American can meet the same fate and you will have to take them at their word.

Okay, this guy was not an American. He's not anything other than a traitor. He may have been born here but it stops there. There are thousands of women who come here, have an anchor baby, and stay or go. But the one thing they leave with is that birth certificate which means nothing if you are not raised here.

I have met enough paper Americans to know that if you arrived here after elementary school age you will never get it. You need to be raised here. That is probably why Obama seems different.

At this point ,I don't know what to say. Post 9-11 here we are:Yemen,Iraq,Pakistan,Libya,..fill in country here. We will send in a drone or a bunker buster and take out a target. The "target" is one or two individuals the collateral damage could be hundreds of women and children ,we don't care. Remember ,we are not the terrorists ,we are the good guys. Every month or two they "get" some great leader and they claim they cut of the head and "they" (terrorists) are done ,through , finished. It seems a desperate game and we continue to expand the "war". Our war =death from above.I believe once we started with execution by drone we lost our way as a sane country. Just imagine if another country or your country was flying drones around and blowing people up. Some times the get their guy and some times they take out the wrong town,village,or city block.

Al-Awlaki was a known conspirator involved in the planning or facilitating of multiple attacks on the U.S., the U.K., and who knows who else. He openly participated in recruiting for al Queada and he would have NO PROBLEM killing YOU for being refusing to convert to islam.

Al-Awlaki was involved in treasonous acts against the U.S. AND it's citizens, was deemed an "unlawful enemy combatant" by the U.S. government.

Al-Awlaki was defined as an "unlawful enemy combatant" and thus a legal target just as a spy would be a legal target.

I don't mourn this piece of filth and he had NO DESIRE to see freedom in the United States only Sharia Law.

I will never support killing anyone as a punishment because murder is wrong. You can't run a civilised society and then go on to kill guilty people. You lock them up, you have a moral right to lock them up. NO ONE has a moral right to kill anyone as punishment. It's just wrong and is in fact a crime in itself.

Once you are labeled a 'militant enemy combatant' against the U.S. you are no longer covered by constitutional laws that provide protection for citizenry as well as most criminals. At best you fall under military codes. Most of which allow you to be killed on sight by military, police, and in some cases the average citizen.

Your idea can be expanded. If world governments openly support the official story of 911, they (including Canada), are essentially supporting a critical component of the worldwide "war on terror" that is just a war on the middle class of the world. To support the official 911 story is to support the tool governments are using to murder their citizens or take away their rights all over the world.

It is, indeed, a sad day for America. To believe that we have the "authority" to murder someone - anyone, it doesnt matter who they are or what they may or may not have done - then we have sunk lower than those we are killing. Whatever happened to a fair trial? I, for one, feel great shame to be an American right now. We have become terrorists and its about time that "we the people" step up and do something about this. If we dont, the next step will be an attack on our own people.
