Anyone here in north america ever watch DirecTV? These satellites are the ones that are bringing you your HDTV channels.

The satellites are the fixed dots, the stars are the streaks. The satellites are geostationary while the stars move at their normal sidereal rate.

I did not know that bit of satellite information, or the corresponding terminology(had to look it up)...never even crossed my mind... Thanks

This is NGC 7089, another globular cluster. It's a globular cluster kind of season right now.

the commercials might last 30 seconds...maybe...they seem shorter than that...i keep getting the same mtv iggy?? commercial(loud and obnoxious), but like i said it is very short.

- and really it isn't coming up very often...didnt time the intervals, but it is tolerable...
