Thanks for your testimony.....and praise God for your new life in Christ.


Although getting drunk is specifically stated as sin in the Bible......to my knowledge smoking a joint is not. As long as you do not fall in love with the stuff....and it becomes an idol.


As far as your girlfriend......if you study the Scriptures.....those in Christ are not only referred to as children of God.......but also as priests.....judges......and co-heirs with Christ.

This is amazing.....but clearly stated in Scripture.


As such.......you and your girlfriend can take a vow before God and it will be valid........if you have decided that you want to stay together forever. You are a priest.....and can perform the marriage/vows before God at home. It is not required that you hire a pastor......or go to a court house.


Remember however that "God hates divorce." Divorce is a sin. So make sure that she is the right one for you......and be willing to make compromises and work hard at making the marriage work.
