Marijuana is the idol your worshiping. I had the same question and prayed that the Lord Jesus Christ would reveal his truth to me about this plant. I was directed to this verse
Romans 1:25
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen
