If passed, the elite will then force them to lie about it on the labeling. The scumbag psycho murderous elite will find another way to hurt and deceive us by saying the typical "if you try to label GMO's as such on the label you are a domestic terrorist" or some bullshit like that. This scumbag elite wants to kill us with a vengeance...what a waste of food and air the elite are...selfish assholes.

Won't happen. Well, the bill may or may not pass but it won't make a difference. All fruit and veggies are already labeled with the PLU 9. For other foods, most of the ingredients added are in fact GMO. Furthermore, all they have to do is rename GMO and poof (real agenda?) - no problem.

Without wasting time and money, here's what you do. Assume that all food products you purchase are in one form or another contaminated by the FDA (virus sprays, etc.) or Monsanto.

1 GMO avacado Fukushima-ed = $1.22.
1 'organic' avacado Fukushima-ed = $5.20.

Good luck. Garden.

I am happy to see this incentive growing! But seriously where do you live?? $5.20 for an organic avocado?? Psh. Who needs avocados anyways? Just buy bananas and eat them!

30 bananas = 3000 calories = good for the day!
Trader Joe's 40-pound box of organic bananas = 100 count = $30

You CAN live the best ever for about $10 a day, or less, depending on where you live! Some of my friends get their produce from wholesale organic and they live for about half that.

Good luck guys, we are on the winning side.speedbanan

California has some of the most food/health conscious people in the world, which is quite nice. Even our large grocery chains are carrying non-GMO foods.

Even without the initiative passing, there are food producers now that produce and label their products "non-GMO" voluntarily. While waiting for that initiative, seek those products out NOW and purchase them instead of the poisoned ones. Remember, the success of the adversary requires the compliance of the sheeple. Don't comply, ACT.

Re: Death blow to GMOs? California ballot initiative calls for mandatory labeling of all genetically engineered foods
It is probably worth mentioning again, GMO crops are not modified for our benifit. Most GMO crops are modified so the plant is resistant to Round-up. That is a huge benifit for Monsanto, but a huge liability for the rest of us. Monsanto can now sell a lot more Round-up, because the crops are resistant to the weed killer. As for us, we get a potentially dangerous product that they don't even tell us is GMO. Also, GMO crops are sterile. When the shit hits the fan, the GMO seeds are worthless. They will grow one crop, then there are no seeds to use for the next crop. This could be the big food crisis we have been talking about.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

I was shopping for oil today and got the organic olive oil. I got to thinking, corn oil...all those genetically altered seeds...I bet they won't say "Made from genetically modified corn" on it. Now that would be the proposition to put on the ballot! Thank goodness Starbucks uses organic soy milk...but does that mean the seeds aren't genetic mutants, too? I wonder.
 Quoting: Abs

Yes, that's correct. By law as it currently stands, certified organic seeds cannot be genetically altered. FOR NOW. Monsanto and their ilk are trying to get regulations changed to allow GMOs in organic production.

I thought that the Terminator technology (sterile seed) was shot down? I will have to research that more. You are correct re: seeds for the next crop; farmers cannot save GMO seeds from year to year. It's part of their contract conditions with Monsanto or whatever GMO company they've signed a deal with. Farmers have to buy new seed every year; they cannot save seed to reuse. If they do, Monsanto's goons will swarm and the farmer will just about lose everything and be fined heavily.

These tactics are also employed against farmers who do not grow GMO crops but end up having some show up on their land due to pollen drift. Monsanto literally has spies roaming the midwest trying to find such farmers so they can go after them. These farmers then have to fight the allegations that they intentionally grew GMOs w/out a contract and it's a David v. Goliath battle. After the cases are resolved, the farmers are usually required to sign gag orders to prevent the spread of the info. Scary times, indeed.

It's a dog and poney show. You think Monsanto with all it's money and political clout is going to let that happen? They usurped the power of the FDA and USDA for God's sake, this will be just a walk in the park for them
