No he didn't die to begin with, which you bible says. He did not ascend into heaven, he boarded a craft. OK. and die a long time later in India. The reason 'they' came to break the legs of the three executed, was that the sunset that ended Nisan 14, Passover, 33CE, and beginning Nisan 15, was rapidly approaching.
