not including cases where a website not working for a few hours resulted in millions of pounds of advertising of the 'victim' company.

if i had a website to promote i know what i would do...

i predict a weekend 'attack', maybe a public/bank HOLIDAY.....

The economic downturn has displayed some surprising elements such as the expressed desire of a choir of super rich to be taxed more heavily and the possibility that China will buy debt from Italy or other Euro countries to keep them afloat. I however find it hard to believe that any of this would actually happen and the feeling one gets is that the rulers are running out of tricks. Despite the dead end, it can however probably be said that life in much of the world still appears much like business as usual. Thus, no occurrence has yet been powerful enough to precipitate the collapse that many are expecting or fearing and it now seems that this will not happen until in the seventh day of the Ninth wave, October 11-28. If so, the end of the calendar may become a very marked discontinuity.

how widespread is knowledge/debate of this mayan thing?

more than enough to have it factored into the marketing strategy of the campaigns.

how many previously uninvolved people will become interested due to this date being chosen?

even a few hundred would be desirable as they represent the ideal demographic; alternative/unorthodox views and opinions, internet savvy, activist potential.

it is product placement in a sense, corporate crossover.

a promotional partnership i think the PR folks call it.

its a false flag so they can fully censor the internet. there is no 'anonymous'

FFS, it was an offhand comment about how they have been doing more campaigning than what they have been known for in the far past, internet mischief.

cool, im not challenging you personally or saying you are wrong.

i really do want to find someone who has an example, have asked on lots of anon subject threads and as yet can find the same as thru general searching - nothing.

so if they have in fact no record for doing anything it may help some foaming at the mouth anonymous cheerleaders to put down the pom poms and think.

i can find not the tiniest reason to give anon any credibility, beyond general full spectrum demographic internet promotion, but thats ongoing for ever, everybody will be made to want the internet, all things to all peolple.

The old old anon did do alot of small scale hacking, mostly revenge and for the lulz type of mischief.

It hasnt been till recently they went on this whole "For the people" vibe, and haven't been doing the things the old anon were known for. Or doing them very rarely I should say.
Mostly have been just making videos and riling folks up.

Which is why I think it will be interesting to see, I'm just watching , taking everything in and seeing how this all plays out. I have a pretty good idea of how this will end, as do many others here.

I'm pretty sure ANON has come out saying this is a HOAX and they do not intend to do this.. i have no link, read it on another site earlier today.
