Op-

Thanks for sharing this. I love when people share their secrets...making positive contributions to society... selflessly helping their fellow humans. Most people try to package their "secret info" and sell it in an ebook.

Just wanted you to know that I appreciate you!

Here's my experience with your regimen and I hope it inspires people to try it out.

I started taking vit c and kelp last week. my results:
More energy....Not wired... subtle yet very real.
Weight loss...I lost 2 lbs without trying.
Better overall mood.

Researching iodine though.... shows that the body needs magnesium and b2 & b3 to metabolize and increase cellular uptake of iodine. I'm going to add them to my daily intake and see what happens.

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
hi No I didn't take offense! I just didn't get the assumption. But I figured out my diet by myself, I didn't do this by buying stuff, if that makes sense.

And for a while I did eat some soft corn tortillas as a cop out item, they are good warmed up in a skillet with grated cheese melted on them with some vegetables, etc and or beans, but of all the things you can eat it seems corn is the most fattening! I quit buying those soft tortillas for a cop out meal. If they're around I just eat them because it's brainless and hardly gets any dishes dirty.

I used to make cornbread from a gluten free recipe once in a while, but I don't seem to be able to digest it very well. I was mixing my own flour substitute from rice flour, tapioca flour, xanthan gum, potato starch or flour, whatever it was. There are good gluten free baking recipes at landolakes.com and they are good because they are not low fat, they have tons of butter, sour cream, etc. But I keep that flour substitute stuff to an absolute minimum.

My diet since about April or May this year has been eggs, cheese, and salad, with a few other steamed vegetables for variety. Been trying to get my calories from fat instead of carbohydrates as per Scorpion's thread. Also eating some yogurt and some homemade trail mix. Peanut butter and celery once in a while. Mainly lots of salad with everything and homemade dressing.

I started exercising the first of the year and have lost 3 dress sizes doing that and eating this way.

Now that the weather is cooler I will make more soups and chili but then my weakness is for crushed corn tortilla chips in the soup. I get the blue ones which aren't from genetically modified corn but I still feel like it's junk food even if it's organically grown. But, so good in soup and chili.

I've never been able to do the high fat thing. Upset tummy.
For me, if I cut out all forms of sugar completely, I drop weight quickly. Which is a big deal considering I'm already "skinny"

You sound like you're way more disciplined with your diet than I am, lol
But (probably like you), I don't do 'packaged foods' with un-pronounceable ingredients.

If you do the corn chip thing once in awhile...thought I'd share my fav breakfast - scrambled eggs with crushed corn chips, salsa and grated cheese. Migas in espanol :)
Although in the true Mexican version, they fry the corn tortillas themselves.

Oh great another way to eat crushed tortilla chips :-) j/k

Mexican is a problem because of course it's the one diet where I can really eat pretty much everything, rice, beans, corn tortillas, vegetables, salsa, cheese, love all that stuff BUT all that starchy food - I will gain weight eating that and just can't do it anymore. I am 50 and have never been overweight but got as big as the high end of a size 12 at 5'7", not too bad, but was happy to lose a bunch of weight this year and be on the small end of a size 8 again like I've been most of my life.

I do eat some brown rice though. And now that apples are in season it's a great cop out to eat apples sliced with cheddar cheese, a great substitute for cheese and crackers.

This thread is very informative about supplements and I'm glad to see people willing to experiment, but I think it's good to get the wide range of supplements and not just take one or two things and expect miracles. I take all the vitamins and minerals separately and have for years, it is very difficult to get the proper potency if you try to take a multivitamin.

The main things I take every day are Vitamin C, a B-complex, Vitamin D, Magnesium Glycinate. I try to never miss a day with those things. Then a lot of other days I take a bunch of other stuff too. The C/B-complex/Vitamin D and Magnesium seem really critical for good mental functioning for me.

No one mentioned Earth Clinic for a source of information about Apple Cider Vinegar

You make a good point about not expecting miracles. After many years of research, experimentation and listening to other people's experiences, I've learned one thing...what works for one person may or may not work for the next. Everyone needs to listen to their inner doctor. For some people, vitamin XYZ may just be what they need. For others, they may need to take handfuls of supplements...or nothing at all.

For me, the vit C and iodine has been beneficial enough to continue....Even though my thyroid function is normal according to lab work.

And thanks for the earth clinic link. Looks like I'm gonna be up all night reading that site!

Cool, glad you found Earth Clinic! Someone posted that here on GLP a long time ago and I've tried to pass it along as much as possible ever since.

I take potassium iodide on and off too, and have tried to read up on it because there is conflicting information about dosage out there. The last big long thread we had about iodine here on GLP included some information about a pioneering doctor from the old days who said doctors used to prescribe iodine for everything and that this old guy doctor took 1,000 mg of potassium iodide every day til he died in his nineties.

I had some 32.5 mg tablets of potassium iodide when Fukushima happened, and since I am on the NW coast I thought I would go ahead and use those up.

After a few weeks of taking it I thought my mental functioning was much improved, and that I had more energy. I have had trouble with "brain fog" which might be menopause related. I use a progesterone cream which seems to cure it when I'm on it, and it comes back when I'm off it.

But taking the potassium iodide more regularly made me feel like I didn't need the progesterone to function - I was off that for a while, maybe for too long. When I started up again it was because I really needed to.

I don't take the potassium iodide every day but I felt great when I did that stretch after Fukushima. Maybe I will take it every day again for awhile and see what happens.

Hello everyone,
The results of my first week experiment with 3 grams of vitamin c, and 1600 mcg of nascent iodine were a bit troubling. I did not weigh myself all week until this morning, and I showed a gain of 2 pounds.

How this happened I don't know, because I'm sure I have cut back on eating as well. I want to add that I do feel swollen, I can tell it in my fingers and my face, like it's water retention. My first day of starting, I remembered I urinated like crazy, but have been normal since then, still feel swollen.

Any advice OP?

The Cinnamon will become HIGHLY powerful at about 3 tablespoons (what I am taking 220 lbs - adjust accordingly.) At that dosing whatever you eat it in will taste pretty acrid. But you should experience insane focus, mental clarity like you haven't seen since you were a kid. I've taken Oxiracetam, Piracetam, and L-Huperzine A. Cinnamon in larger dosing out performed them all.

Op,
Please help. My sister is experiencing severe bloating....NEVER goes down. Her stomach is rock hard all the time. What could be causing this and what do you recommend?

And I know this post begs for the smart asses to come out of the woodwork...please control yourselves..
 Quoting: zippin

I had terrible painful bloating and I got rid of it by cutting all wheat and wheat related products out of my diet.

It wasn't hard to do because the pain I got from eating the wheat was so severe and I would blow up like a balloon if I even ate a little bit.

Figured this out by myself and have been eating gluten free for about 4 or 5 years now.

I feel lucky in a way because who could complain about not being able to eat bread, cookies, pasta, cake, donuts, crackers etc. none of that stuff is good for you anyway and it all packs on pounds. I'm 50 and figure I'm better off without all of it. God knows I ate a lifetime supply of pasta, toast, and bagels already. Probably why I got screwed up.

Hope your sister is up for trying it. Better to try that for six months or so and see if it helps than to go to the worthless doctors for their surgery and drugs.
 Quoting: Vision Thing

Thank you!!!!!! I will tell her to give that a try. Much appreciated!!

Hi, my Trophic Idodine just arrived and I want to clarify the dosage, so no one takes too much. It was said I would need 20 drops to achieve 1500 mcg's, but that is far too much.

On the bottle it says: each ml contains 6.25 mcg's. Each drop contains 312 mcgs. So 5 seems right.

Thank you for the reply. I don't think I'm allergic, because I feel just fine, and have been sleeping better then usual. My energy level is not great, but okay. Could be just body adjustments.

I think I will give it another week and see how it goes. I will probably give my body a break this weekend, because I'm going out of town anyway. Which also means I will not be doing home cooking. Geesh, a good chance of more weight gain. I will continue to read everyday and see of others reports. Excluding this weekend of course. I will let you all know how it goes......stay tuned!

Edited to add: On second thought, I think you are right, and I should stop. I just hate to give up so quickly. Thank you for the sound advice.

If you're looking for a good source for bulk quantities of high quality cinnamon and other culinary and medicinal herbs, you can't do better than San Francisco Herb Co.

[link to www.sfherb.com]

They also have dehydrated vegetables and essential oils. You can get oregano oil here at a good price, and excellent lavender oil.

I am not affiliated with them in any way, I just order from them a lot and really like their products and service, and their great low prices.

Thank you OP for a great thread, and thank you to all other posters contributing here.

I have a diagnosed under active thyroid, hashimotos disease.

I have cut sugar from my diet and have lost belly fat.

I had been eating low fat for years, to lose weight and then to avoid pain when I developed gall stones. I had my gall bladder removed six years ago but continued the low fat diet. I have since read that low fat is not good for our bodies and that we need fat. I have been eating 'normal' fat food, not low fat for six months now and have not gained weight.

I have also cut wheat products from my diet and eat rye bread but very infrequently.

However, my cholesterol is still too high according to my doctor. She is referring me to a dietician. I am at my wits end. I still need to shed some kilos I know, I am 80 kilos and 5 foot six inches tall. I exercise by swimming for 30 minutes a day although I was walking sporadically for 30 minutes a day during the really cold weather.

I don't know what or who to believe any more.

OP,
Your protocol calls for 2-4 Grams a day of Vitamin C, but then you say to consider kelp (or some rich source) for replenishment.

Wouldn't the iodine - the 2nd part of the protocol - take care of this?
(I'm getting the Trophic Liquid Iodine).

So, my question is:
Do I have to take Vitamin C, Iodine, AND Kelp?

This is going to be big, nothing for sale here just the protocol.

I wrote this paper explaining how it works, how by taking Vitamin C and Iodine in increased levels can trigger a hormonal tweak and subsequent weight loss.

Spread the word lets kick Big Pharma and Big Food in the nuts!!

Right now I'm working on not losing any more weight.

Standard store bought iodine is a broad antiseptic with poison added and will have a skull and cross bones or some warning along the lines of 'For External Use Only'

Oral iodine sold at the health food store can be ingested safely, and is extremely beneficial as a metabolism enhancer (weight loss), replacement of lost hair, and also for fixing color blindness.

Not at all.. The kelp is suggested only because at the larger dosing of Vitamin C over 2 grams a day - this will cause copper depletion in the body, which is important in nerve path signalling. Kelp is a nutrient rich source that can replenish the iodine and hopefully the copper as well, together. I would not take an oral iodine with kelp as both are loaded in iodine... so...

Another good source of copper is liver, and orfal organs, although some natriopaths do not support liver as it is naturally where all the toxins accumulate.

I cannot perscribe medical advice, iodine in a study in China was given to children and those that took it had increased IQ, of about 12 points versus the severely Iodine deficient (ID).

"The intelligence damage of children exposed to severe ID was profound, demonstrated by 12.45 IQ points loss and they recovered 8.7 IQ points with iodine supplementation or IS
before and during pregnancy. Iodine supplementation before and during pregnancy to women living in severe ID areas could prevent their children from intelligence deficit. This effect becomes evident in children born 3.5 years after the iodine supplementation program was introduced."

Whatever the heck you do DON'T TAKE THAT FKING LIPITOR! If you ask them if it's a Statin Drug - don't take it! The stuff is sh*t!

Cayenne pepper if you want to increase blood circulation. Olive oil lowers blood pressure.

For the kidneys, an epson salt, olive oil cleanse works wonders!

Here is a nice recipe to naturally remove the gall stones..

I have followed Hulda Clarke for a long time, some of her stuff is great, but she does get into a tangent on how they can sell you signatures of healing and stuff, which I don't perscribe towards.

She is also a big fan of the zapper at 6Volts. I do not believe 6 volts is sufficient to cure diseases. I personally wired 3 9V's in series and run about 27 Volts, The secret is the current, and I use a mulitmeter to monitor my current.

The viruses are unable to reproduce their RNa because it is damaged from the electric current, unlike the infinitely more complex DNA of the cells of the body that repair themselves and continue to reproduce. That in itself was the secret of the Beck Protocol, which is a tanget I can discuss if anyone in this forum is looking for a cure for herpes or other nasty ailments.

OP, In an earlier post you stated you were taking vitamin D. I have been taking vitamin D-3 tabs 400 iu each... i take about 5 to 8 . Is this the form of Vit-D you recommend?

Any good source of Vitamin D-3, is good, really. At about 15,000 IU you'll see your body heat up after taking it and almost sweat. It will burn colds and viruses right out of the body. It's amazing.

In fact the Vitamin D Council has all kinds of studies and references that a plethora of illnesses, and diseases are linked to a simple Vitamin D deficiency.

I do not take the 15,000 IU every day, but I will at the first onset of a cold or flu.

For a flu your dealing with a parasitic, ecoli, and other nasty shit. The immune system is now fighting larger bugs, and I use a different protocol for them :

The super potent treatment for them is to smoke em with a couple tablespoons of cinnamon (mixed in a protein drink works great)

The other super potent protocol is just standard needle tea. Pick any needle tree in your local area (this REALLY works amazingly - especially for strep throat).. such as Pine, Douglas etc. Pull a handfull of needles off and mix in a cup of hot water, or add to a small pot, and bring pot of water to boil. Pout the water into a mug, add honey and enjoy :) I haven't had a single person not report almost complete relief of their strep throat before they finished their tasty beverage.

And it tastes good, unlke buckleys - which was probably borrowing a page from the North American Native remedy - that of pine oil - which is also in the needle tea.

Each Dose (1 Drop = 38.35μL) Contains:
Potassium Iodide……………………………………………………………125.4μg
equiv. to iodine………………………………………………………95.87μg
equiv. to potassium………………………………………………….29.52μg

That looks like nice stuff especially the vanilla flavouring. That would be a nice twist (for me) from the usual 'new car smell' you get from the Trophic. I find the trophic tastes good, but it would be a treat to get some vanilla flavoured iodine. The stuff is good, and unless your an afficianado and want to get into nascent iodines, and bio-availabilities, it would be sufficient.

Here is some really 'exotic' iodine if you want to get fancy and a long write up about why it is so good, some 'secret' recipe from 1935 etc etc.

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
Hi, my Trophic Idodine just arrived and I want to clarify the dosage, so no one takes too much. It was said I would need 20 drops to achieve 1500 mcg's, but that is far too much.

On the bottle it says: each ml contains 6.25 mcg's. Each drop contains 312 mcgs. So 5 seems right.

Each drop is 300 ug, so 20 x 300 ug = 6000 ug... You could be fine at this dosing, I only suggest about 1500 - 3000 as it is actually in some respects a modest dosage, but still healthy.

I have personally taken up to 20,000 ug a day, and well its pretty strong I find it makes you actually tired and give you less energy so... I have no problems taking 6,000 ug a day.

Listen to your body first really.

For myself I don't get 'fancy' or worry about it I just shoot a good half dropper full in the mouth in the morning and carry on lol :)
