Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
Thank you OP. I'm trying to put all this together in one place, let's call it a formula. So far I have this.

TRH/T3/T4
Trophic Iodine
Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon

I'm sure I probably missed a few things, I keep going over the thread, so if it's all in one "recipe" it helps. What else would you recommend taking on a daily basis.

Thanks again.

You forgot your Vitamin C. It will increase TRH telling the thyroid to manufacture more T3/T4 and burn up the iodine :)

Here it is again.

Vitamin C - 2-4 grams a day (remember at these higher levels your going to experience copper depletion a rich source of copper is offal organs like liver, or possibly kelp. It is what causes increased TRH.

Iodine - 1500 ug / day which is about 10x the RDA. Trophic is about 250ug a drop so roughly 7-10 drops a day. Iodine causes increased T3/T4 production.

Cinnamon - great cleanse once a day with your porridge or yogurt. Super cognition enhancer and major intestinal cleanse.

Vinegar whenever - I find after about 5 days of drinking it in water you start to not want it anymore lol!

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
I have not really taken Vitamin C and Iodine together since I started initially taking Iodine 6-7 years ago. But I do know that the last time I took them together I went from 235 down to 200lbs in a short period, and was also working out on a treadmill from the increased energy I had.. Its only been in the last few days I have made the connection that the two combined presented a weight loss solution. People are going to have to discover this for themselves, and just try it. I never really could figure out how I did that last time and I do believe this is it, as I have never since tried the two together, since my initial europhia about how much iodine gave me energy.

I do know that at my current age of 38 loosing weight is a serious endeavor with some commitment, and it's not as easy as it was when I was 25. Precursor hormones like DHEA are dropping at a rate of 15% per decade aged from our peaks at the age of 25. The same goes for everybody (you too!) As our hormones drop it slows down our healing - and once our rate of healing is slower than our rate of oxidational stress we start the aging process. That's why people will pay $700 for a vial of Growth Hormone. It will reactivate the healing process to a level that exceeds oxidative aging - and they will literally reverse age to a significant extent, become much more toned and loose a lot of their body fat.

If we can relengthen our telomere's, and induce a hormonal level that induces healing at a rate higher than oxidative stresses and aging, and toxicology damage we will have very long lifespans (aka > 120 years and forward).

OP, i am NOT trying to be a distractor to your thread. I am moving forward with your Iodine/V-C protocol, but if this is the case (ABOVE BOLD) then should we be focusing on replacing the DHEA with a DHEA supplement if there is such a thing?

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
Thanks for posting this and it overly exciting to see something like this especially when I've been told by my doctor during my last week well-ness exam that I have:

Total Cholesterol=279
LDL-C Direct=150
HDL-C=42
Triglycerides=394
Non-HDL-D=237

Apo B=158
LDL P=3224 This was as high as she's ever seen!
sdLDL =64
Apo A I=124
HDL P=28.5
HDL2=11
Apo B:Apo A I Ratio=1.27
Lp(a) Mass=64
Lp(a) Cholesterol=8

HS Omega 3 Index= 3.5

She said that a thyroid problem could be causing some of these numbers to be elevated. I'm a 42 year old male, 5-10" 190lbs and said I could stand to loose a little weight at around 170-180 but I'm very stocky and would like to see that weight. I don't feel bad and I'm pretty athletic with moderate exercise throughout the week.

She wanted to prescribe some cholesterol lowering pills, however I declined to take them and said that I would personally work to lower them. She prescribed me some "Lovaza" which is a doctors prescribed Omega 3, which I don't mind taking these unless there are some other recommended Omega 3 supplements I can take.

What would be your recommended routine for my situation? I read earlier about Cayenne pepper to de-plaque your arteries, what method of taking it would you recommend?

 Quoting: Frankenstein

Quite a bit actually, pushes fungal infections out, yeast, it helps with bile production, clears sinuses. Fungal, and yeast infections are pretty endemic and show up as other ailments such as asthma, frequent suspectibility to colds, depressed immune systems etc etc. Anyone who has drank it and can stand it for a long enough time ends up loosing lots of weight from it.

Here is actually a giant hit piece on vinegar attacking it yet conceding the following health benefits. The point we have to realize about vinegar is that it is very anecdotal heavy, for obvious reasons few have studied it and their would only present economic loss for anyone to do so. Even a natriopathic industry to undertake a study of its health benefits wouldn't make money so nobody will know except somebody who has a philatrophic motive..

"If there is one thing vinegar fans, marketers, alternative therapists, and scientists alike can agree on, it's that vinegar is high in acetic acid. And acetic acid, like other acids, can increase the body's absorption of important minerals from the foods we eat. Therefore, including apple cider vinegar in meals or possibly even drinking a mild tonic of vinegar and water (up to a tablespoon in a glass of water) just before or with meals might improve your body's ability to absorb the essential minerals locked in foods."

If I was in that boat I would start hitting cayenne pepper pretty frequently. I would not be so worried about the cholesterol alone, however if you shower with city tap water, or drink tap water from a city you've probably accumulated quite a bit of chlorine the real culprit in arterial wall plaquing. Strauss Heart Drops have the following and they are charging some serious coin for a bottle of it.

Alcohol, extract of garlic (bulb), water, extract of: hawthorn berries, hawthorn leaf, cayenne pepper, bilberry, motherwort (aerial), white willow bark.

And of course white willow bark is simply an aspirin pre-product, the hawthorn is a very good heart tonic, and a common tree.

That's up to you. Personally myself I have experimented with DHEA and found the results short of amazing if your are getting older. I found a ready source that has been reliable for both US and Canada supply - Herbspro.com out New York that gives good price breaks if you buy 12 bottles. $4.89 / bottle pretty cheap for 60 50 mg tabs.

[link to www.herbspro.com]

My results from taking as much as 1 gram a day of it, was as follows - energy levels shot back like I was 25, I also noticed my emotional levels shot back like I was 25 also! Because it is a precursor hormone I would take with Magnesium, which is an all important buffer, and cold pressed flax oil so that when you hit a spurt of growth from it you do not get improper cell division (aka cancer). For a cheap source of Magnesium I have had great service from purebulk.com - again I don't really endorse anyone, I'm just sharing what I did how I found product cheaply. If someone else knows a better source let us know!

www.lef.org one of the biggests research groups into anti-again put it as #2. (Cell Hydration is #1?) When it came out it ignited a firestorm of controversy with the government poo-pooing it heavily. That tells me it works - powerfully, and their not interested in healthy citizens - Big Pharma and their lobby has forbidden it! If you goto www.lef.org type in dhea into their search box they have dozens of articles of how effective it is. I would think the only thing superceding it would be HGH.

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
Hi OP! Today is the first day of taking these pills. I did notice a feeling of nervousness and fast heartbeat come over me for awhile. I think I'll back off that dosage quite a bit because now that you've pointed it out, it does seem a little extreme. No wonder the sales lady was losing alot of weight! I think I'll go ahead and order the trophic instead, it might be safer. One thing that is really strange is it said you could safely up the amount to twice that but to build up to it. That would be 60 mg of Iodine a day. I wonder if it becomes toxic at that amount? I'm surprised they are allowed to sell it!

Thanks for warning me about the dosage! hf
 Quoting: MercyMe

Yah that is pretty strong, you could always take the pills apart and take like 1/10 of a pill a day would put you at 3000 ug, if your trying to save some coin. That's pretty high definitely. Any time your heart is racing the protectorant for all accelerants is Magnesium (so so important) So if your accelerating with juice, or ephedra, or large dosing caffiene etc etc don't forget your Magnesium!

well.......this certainly has motivated me to go back and start with the iodine as i already do the vit c,D,brewers yeast, apple cider vinegar, a pinch ofgood sea salt with water etc-
but have been having too much detox headaches when taking more than a drop of the 2% lugols -can go about 3 days and WHAM it hits and hits hard--was very happy though with iodines "expectorant" qualities though--effortlessly hacking up years of bronchial JUNK.

thyroid crapped out about 10 years ago and man, what a you know what as those synthroids or levoxyls are a poor substitute for how i once felt and looked--packed on about 30pounds by now and i'm not too happy about this either.
Now i know how people joke about simply looking at food and gaining weight . I'm still very active etc but nothing is moving the fat.

thanks for the info and thanks for the pure happy joyous motivation to once again try and improve my health
as I most certainly do believe in nutrition and supplementing in a natural way !
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1169966

Sounds like if a single drop of lugols is causing severe headaches days after the fact then its pushing out heavy metals and those are being 'stirred up'...

I am suspicious combined with you coughing up 'junk' that you need a heavy metal detox.

Don't worry the fix is easy and cheap, you don't have to go visit a tibetian monk for the cure.

Its Cilantro you can buy at your local grocery store. In facte anyone in this forum with Amalgam fillings should look at Cilantro for a cleanse as apparently it brings out the heavy metals from the body and even across the DMSO barrier (Blood brain barrier) They recommend you eat lots of it for about three weeks.

Maybe there is some good Cilantro salad recipes!?

Awesome. Thanks for pointing that out. The cure for diabetes 100% is Eleotin, if you don't have any in your medicine cabineet or are wary of orering online, or just plain reluctant you can take a couple teaspoons of cinnamon a day as it will greatly reverse glucose / insulin intolerances.

many thanks for the cilantro suggestion--
today/Monday i took that drop of 2%lugols along with the 2gms of vitc and DID get an energizing moment, not jittery/just some normal energy which has been a stranger--

"OP" ? i dunno why i was hesitant about taking the iodine /vitC together but will continue--get some cilantro tomorrow, and if i have to- i will"tough it out" until the headaches cease
and then gradually increase that iodine to a miserly 12 mg or so
and see what happens in between increasing it as maybe i don't need that much a day anyway.

thanking you again !

now back to the cilantro--how 'bout steeping it as a "tea" and drinking it throughout the day ???
say....make a quart-
can't hurt.

OP, how long did it take you to lose the 30 lbs? You mentioned it being a short amount of time, and I'm curious. Also, what dietary changes/lifestyle changes did you make during that time?

I'm nearly 30, am roughly 40 lbs overweight (though aiming to lose 30) and have been losing and re-gaining the same 10 lbs for a year and a half now. I have an intense exercise regimen and have been super faithful with that during that year and a half. My eating has been fairly good; obviously there's some junk in my diet that needs to be eliminated, but really, I should have dropped at least 20 lbs by now.

My thyroid was tested just last week and my doctor says everything's in working order. I'm going to test your suggestions out, and I'd LOVE to see results.

I think I'll be adding cinnamon as well, since I have a wicked sugar addiction. Thanks for your help in this! hf

OP, thanks again. DHEA, is it safe?

Also, would be interested in knowing if you have a blog or website where you are cataloging your findings, treatments and essays. The information you are posting is valuable and appreciated by many it would seem.

Is DHEA safe, that was the subject of fierce debate. I have taken cases of the stuff without issue, again listen to your body, and do your research. Consider a light dosage, goto www.lef.org and type in DHEA and read up on it. The one study had several men I believe if I remember correctly taking a gram a day of DHEA for about 3 months. They dropped a significant amount of fat, gained muscle etc.

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking

Thanks for your help in this! hf

It was pretty quick, but I wasn't really keeping track of anything. I just hit the treadmill tons on a regular basis - cardiovascular exercise is IMHO the number one exercise for shedding weight. I'd put it at about 2-3 months and the weight was gone, but I'm going off memory here. But what was interesting was I was taking lots of Iodine and lots of Vitamin C.

Thanks for posting this and it overly exciting to see something like this especially when I've been told by my doctor during my last week well-ness exam that I have:

Total Cholesterol=279
LDL-C Direct=150
HDL-C=42
Triglycerides=394
Non-HDL-D=237

Apo B=158
LDL P=3224 This was as high as she's ever seen!
sdLDL =64
Apo A I=124
HDL P=28.5
HDL2=11

"When there is excessive iodine intake in the human body the thyroid gland starts to overproduce thyroid hormone and when this happens the bodies autoimmune system starts to attack and shut down the thyroid gland to a point where it actually causes hypothyroidism if you have an underlying potential for hypothyroidism such as a family history of this disease. On the other side of the coin if you are pre-disposed to either Grave’s disease of nodular goiter then too much iodine can cause hyperthyroidism. A healthy thyroid gland handles excessive iodine intake by controlling how much iodine it takes in and last with Hashimoto’s too much iodine intake will cause your thyroid gland to slow down thyroid hormone production even more than it already is."

When my cholesterol was really high, I started takin Niacin, it is a B vitamin. It brought it right down. Do a google search on it, and see what you think. Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

The question missing here is at what percentage of the population does this come up? A quick google query into Hashimotos Thyroid Disease Prevalence gave out the following statistic:

"1,490,371 adults and 205,159 children in the USA 1996 1 ... see also overview of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. " - So one in 150 people are suspectible to this.

Again its important for people to listen to their bodies in this.

The first big question is allergic reactions, and is the body reacting to something in the diet? Gluten? Try buying rye bread its actually inexpensive from a McGavins Bread basket. Diet pop? GIANT NO NO! Milk? Some people cannot digest it well, I have a friend who bloats massively if she ingests milk products, with all the discomforts.

The last time my stomach went rock hard was in a hospital from 4 litres of blood trapped inbetween the intestines from a ruptured spleen.

Again I don't and cannot give medical advice. The question remains *why* is it rock hard. I would suspect as well the immune system is attacking something in there causing swelling over time.

Its not a lot of information to really go on, I would really recommend for myself in that situation a Master Cleanse and see what comes up (out!) Basically its lemon, real maple syrup, and cayenne pepper - mixed and drank as long as your comfortable. For at least a good week. Myself I'm not a fan of the straight cleanse because its lacking in nutrtition somewhat and I would supplement with at least some salad, or fruit once a day to keep energy levels up.

Another trick is to start hitting the cinnamon. Take a couple tablespoons mix in a protein drink and bottoms up. I find in yogurt its strong, and in porridge its strong (at two tablespoons) but in a protein mix it tastes great, and goes down easy.

Cinnamon is extremely antiseptic. Studies have show it clears out ecoli, and a various multitude of bugs from the colon and is recognized as a strong colon cleanse.

Interestingly here is an article combining a master cleanse with cinnamon

XR500Final - Yep :)

There is a lot of esoteric stuff there, but really good, for shifting ones thinking about Peak Oil (Abiotic), and other issues, such as free energy (Kinetic Theory of Gravity by Charles Brush)

The big one that I discovered personally and this works great is the pickle jar fly trap. Here is the link if you have a fly problem in your area...

Re: My Weight Loss Secret - TRH/T3/T4 Hormonal Tweaking
many thanks for the cilantro suggestion--
today/Monday i took that drop of 2%lugols along with the 2gms of vitc and DID get an energizing moment, not jittery/just some normal energy which has been a stranger--

"OP" ? i dunno why i was hesitant about taking the iodine /vitC together but will continue--get some cilantro tomorrow, and if i have to- i will"tough it out" until the headaches cease
and then gradually increase that iodine to a miserly 12 mg or so
and see what happens in between increasing it as maybe i don't need that much a day anyway.

thanking you again !

now back to the cilantro--how 'bout steeping it as a "tea" and drinking it throughout the day ???
say....make a quart-
can't hurt.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1169966

Sure if that works for yah, hopefully though the active cleanse is not a enzyme that attaches to the Mercury and heavy metals which maybe is being disabled from the hot water.

2% Lugols is strong, and going to 12mg or 12,000 ug is a pretty heavy dose. I've taken Lugols before and that stuff is just so strong! Myself I find I felt better from taking a lighter dosage of Trophic at about 5-10x the RDA or about 1500 - 3000 ug of Iodine, but that is my personal preference.

MAN,

I went out and bought a few supplements for getting my heart and arteries healthy.

I paid:

1) Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega 120 soft gels 1000mg =$49.95

2) Solgar CoQ-10 60 soft gels 400mg= $45.96

3) KAL Red Yeast Rice 60 tablets 1200mg = $37.19

4) Nature's Way Cayenne Extra Hot 100 capsules 450mg = $10.49

Total $142.61

I definitely need to find some place cheaper!
